BEYOND, a global Google Cloud engineering company, has officially entered the Philippine market, establishing a local presence that aims to bring specialist engineering expertise and Google-first innovation closer to organisations in the country. The company's Philippine launch was marked by an event at Blackbird, located within the historic Nielson Tower in Makati City. Beyond sees its entry into the country as an opportunity to help more Philippine organisations access technical expertise as they build and scale on the cloud. Google Cloud Engineering at the Core Beyond specialises in Google Cloud, with more than 75% of its people working as hands-on technical specialists. The company designs and builds technology for some of the world's most recognised brands, with its expertise spanning artificial intelligence, security, and commerce. This engineering-heavy approach gives a clearer picture of what Beyond intends to bring to the Philippine market. Rather than simply establishing another international office, the company is positioning its local presence around specialist technical capabilities that organisations can tap as they pursue their respective cloud strategies. The Philippines also joins Beyond's growing international footprint, which includes offices in Romania and Argentina. Investing in Philippine Talent Beyond is looking at the Philippines not only as a market for its services but also as a place where it can build its engineering organisation for the long term. Alan Paton, Chief Executive Officer of Beyond, said, “The Philippines is home to exceptional engineering talent, and we see a real opportunity to build here for the long term.” He added, “Our aim is to give organisations across the country direct access to the engineering expertise and Google-first thinking that help them operate and compete more effectively.” Beyond's Philippine operations form part of the company's Asia Pacific delivery organisation, headed by Geoff Newell, Delivery Centre Director for APAC. In the months ahead, the company plans to grow both its local team and its client base across the region. From CTS and Appsbroker to Beyond While the Beyond name may be new to some Filipino technology professionals and organisations, the business behind it has been taking shape for several years. The company was formed in 2023 when CTS, a Google Cloud partner founded in Manchester, merged with Appsbroker to create Qodea. A subsequent series of acquisitions added further engineering depth as well as cybersecurity and digital product capabilities to the organisation. The business eventually rebranded as Beyond, bringing those capabilities together under its current identity as a global Google Cloud engineering company. Today, its work covers artificial intelligence, security, and commerce, backed by a workforce predominantly composed of technical specialists. Makati Launch Brings Communities Together Beyond's Philippine market entry was celebrated with a launch gathering attended by around 150 guests. The event brought together leaders from government, the diplomatic community, the technology sector, and the academe, alongside members of the press. Holding the event in Makati City also formally introduced Beyond to several communities that could play a role in its Philippine journey, from technology and education to government and business. With its local presence now established, Beyond is setting its sights on expanding its Philippine team while building relationships with organisations looking to strengthen and scale their cloud capabilities. Building for the Long Term For Beyond, entering the Philippines is part of a broader international growth story built around Google Cloud engineering and specialist technical talent. The company already operates internationally, and its new Philippine presence adds another base to its global organisation. The launch also puts the spotlight on the Philippines as a source of engineering talent that can contribute to Beyond's wider Asia Pacific operations. As the company grows its local team and client base in the months ahead, its stated focus remains on bringing hands-on engineering expertise and Google-first thinking directly to organisations in the country.
