Топ-3 роскошных спа-отеля Нью-Йорка для восстановления после стресса

It’s perhaps no surprise that New York has earned a reputation as one of the world’s most stressful cities in the world. The upside? The region is also home to an impressive array of luxury spas, on hand to soothe the aches, pains, and frazzled minds of busy residents and overwhelmed visitors. Some come complete with high-frequency wave tables designed to optimize recovery; others offer wacky salmon polynucleotide facials that promise to revive tired complexions. The sleek, minimalist space offers an unusually broad treatment menu – an impressive 61 pages – with experiences organized across five circuits: beauty, performance healing, temperature therapy, inner body, and sleep. Rather than booking one treatment, Equinox Spa encourages guests to build a complete circuit, combining treatments from each modality. Options range from cryotherapy and infrared saunas to acupuncture, advanced facials, and IV drips, with a dedicated Clean Market IV Drip Lounge staffed by medical professionals. Some of the more futuristic offerings include the Quantum Harmonics Brain and Body Boost, a 30-minute session on an immersive Wave Table that aims to provide the equivalent of three hours of sleep through sound and harmonic resonance. For those who spend their lives between New York and everywhere else, the spa offers targeted recovery IVs and cryotherapy, which promise to alleviate jet lag, dehydration, and help with pre-flight preparation. The facial menu is also particularly extensive – a highlight includes the Rationale Signature Vitality Facial, which uses the Lyma laser, exclusive to Equinox Hotels, with salmon DNA and polynucleotide treatments available as add-on skin boosters. And for something a little more esoteric, visitors can book a personalized Akashic reading with a cognitive wellness coach and hypnotherapist. - Bamford Wellness Spa at 1 Hotel Brooklyn BridgeBamford Wellness Spa brings organic pioneer Carole Bamford’s holistic approach to wellness – and a touch of English sensibility – to 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge. The three-floor wellness and longevity center is one of the city’s largest, with treatments spanning massages and facials, complemented by advanced technologies including lasers, infrared light, and electromagnetic waves. The standout feature is the spa’s two private spa houses, described as “temples of wellness.” Designed for personalized experiences, each gives guests space to unwind at their own pace and features either a traditional banya, a wood-clad sauna, or a marble hammam, alongside a double treatment room, living area, and private terrace with a hot bath and cold plunge. There’s also a signature treatment exclusive to the New York property, centered on the purported healing properties of fluorite crystal and designed to encourage a sense of stillness and connection – a fitting antidote to the pace of Manhattan. As for the facilities, the first floor houses a cryotherapy chamber, fitness center, and reformer Pilates studio. Upstairs, there’s a sauna, steam room, yoga studio, cold plunge terrace, and a 65-ft heated swimming pool, surrounded by lounging areas and firepits. The third floor is home to additional treatment rooms, including a private contrast therapy suite with an infrared sauna, red-light therapy, and cold plunge. - The Spa at The Mandarin Oriental New YorkWhile the setting of The Spa at The Mandarin Oriental New York feels distinctly Manhattan, with Columbus Circle just below, the space is very much guided by the brand’s Eastern heritage – which extends into everything from the bamboo flooring and Japanese rice-paper window treatments to its signature holistic treatments. The spa houses a VIP treatment suite, the Celadon Spa Suite, decorated in the brand’s signature Pantone shade and designed for couples’ treatments, which conclude with a glass of bubbly. Guests should also head to the Thai treatment suite, which boasts interiors inspired by the Buddhist temples of Bangkok and finished with dark teak wood and gold leaf. Among the treatment menu is an Ayurvedic-inspired ritual, beginning with a comprehensive consultation to establish your Dosha type before the therapist tailors the treatment accordingly. It can include full-body exfoliation, a hot-stone massage, and Shirodhara, in which a continuous stream of warm herbal oil is poured over the forehead, calming the nervous system and promoting mental clarity. - The Spa at Hotel ChelseaThe Spa at Hotel Chelsea feels distinctly different from the grungy, historic hotel – and leans light and modern, hidden on the building’s rooftop. Treatment rooms are charmingly unconventional, with original vaulted brick ceilings, windows overlooking the city skyline, and Bob Dylan-signing Marshall speakers, giving the space a distinctly urban feel. Many also feature standalone soaking tubs, used as part of holistic hydration treatments. The menu changes regularly – artists in residence offering limited-edition treatments each month, alongside seasonal offerings inspired by lunar cycles. Regular programming ranges from the practical – including efficient New York-minute express facials – to the more esoteric, with healing-arts treatments such as Witching Hour, a transcendent experience combining intuitive divination with cathartic cleansing and ‘way-finding’. Whichever treatment you choose, arrive early to make use of the traditional Swedish sauna and steam room, and leave time afterwards for robe-clad relaxation on the private landscaped terrace or tea by the fireplace in the lounge. - The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel New York DowntownThough New York’s Financial District doesn’t exactly scream wellness, the Spa at Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown provides a quiet retreat for those seeking a little solace, equally suited for those in need of one hour’s peace, or a full day of unwinding. The spa and fitness center occupy an entire floor of the hotel, with a 75-foot indoor pool-with-a-view. Guests can book a ‘Swim & Soothe’, allowing you to spend your day poolside, only interrupted by a spa treatment of your choice. The spa offers 30 treatments, including massage and bodywork, and skincare treatments with brands including 111Kins, Augustinus Bader, and Omorovicza. For those with a particularly active lifestyle, there are tailor-made pre- and post-race wellness treatments, including the Infrared Recovery experience, which makes use of the spa’s infrared sauna, paired with a Therapeutic Awakening massage.
