Предприниматели из Тирска запустили строительную компанию с контрактами до 100 тысяч фунтов

Thirsk entrepreneurs Chad Scatchard and Max Scott have launched Elegant Projects Ltd, establishing a rapidly expanding construction company with individual property development contracts already valued up to £100,000. Operating across Thirsk, Northallerton, and the surrounding North Yorkshire areas, the multi-skilled duo has opened their first permanent commercial office and fully filled their main operational diary until the final quarter of 2026. The firm offers an all-in-house management solution for single-story extensions, home renovations, and complete property refurbishments. By utilizing their own multi-trade skills rather than subcontracting individual components out to independent carpenters, plasterers, or electricians, the firm removes traditional client coordination issues and offers transparent, fixed-price project quotes. Combating Trade Stereotypes and Sector Skills Shortages The rapid expansion of the business comes during an escalating national labor crisis within the UK building sector. Recent industry data published by the Construction Industry Training Board highlights that the domestic construction field must successfully recruit an additional 251,500 qualified workers by 2028 to satisfy ongoing market demand. Chad Scatchard: People sadly expect tradespeople to cut corners or take the easy route. We’re proving that wrong on every job. Max and I have complementary skills, what one of us spots, the other checks. Nothing gets missed. We’ve had customers tell us they’ve never had builders communicate like we do. That shouldn’t be rare. It should be standard. There’s plenty of work out there for people who want it. We’re proof that you don’t need to go to university to build a successful business. You need skills, work ethic, and a reputation for doing what you say you’ll do. Max Scott: We grew up around construction. We know what good work looks like, and we know what customers actually want, clear communication, no mess left behind, and the job done properly the first time. Securing Private Investment and Looking to the Future The business venture has secured early-stage private financial backing from Stuart Scott, an established home improvement sector entrepreneur and father of co-founder Max Scott. While leveraging this foundational capital, strategic mentorship, and industry experience, both founders remain dedicated to scaling an independent corporate footprint from the ground up. Max Scott: My Dad built a business up from nothing and he was my inspiration to do the same. Chad Scatchard: We wanted to prove we could do this ourselves. Not because anyone doubted us, but because we needed to know we could build something from scratch. Every client we win, every project we complete, that’s ours and we’re proud of that. To accommodate their accelerated commercial growth, Elegant Projects Ltd has successfully onboarded a secondary on-site building team, creating a limited number of newly available development slots before the end of the year. The company is currently exploring regional enterprise grant funding opportunities to procure heavy commercial equipment and expand operations into larger commercial construction markets. New client inquiries are now being formally accepted for early 2027 project timelines.
