Bayou Rum names Louisiana distributor By Miona Madsen Stoli Group’s Louisiana Spirits has appointed Crescent Crown Distributing as the distributor of Bayou Rum in its home state. With first shipments commencing on 1 September, the partnership will roll out Bayou Rum’s portfolio across Louisiana. The announcement follows the earlier unveiling of reformulated Bayou White and Spiced rums, which feature a new blend of liquid that combines pot still and column still distillation, replacing the previous all-pot recipe. The relaunch also featured a redesigned bottle and label. Bayou’s range also includes Reserve, XO Mardi Gras, and Pink rums, which are scheduled for a relaunch in the near future. Angelo Torre, president of Louisiana Spirits, said: “Bayou Rum is proudly born and raised in Louisiana, so entrusting our brand to a Louisiana-based distributor makes this partnership with Crescent Crown especially meaningful. “They understand our market, our culture, and the pride behind our brand. We have tremendous confidence in their team and look forward to growing Bayou Rum together right here at home.” Crescent Crown is a family-owned company based in Louisiana and established in 1982. It operates four distribution centres throughout the state – located in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Thibodaux – and serves approximately 8,000 retail and on-premise accounts across South Louisiana. In 2023, the company expanded its offerings by adding spirits to its Louisiana portfolio.
