Following the backlash from his felony charges in New Mexico, Zimmerman’s “Chevy Silverado” reached the top spot on the Mediabase Country radio chart, giving the 26-year-old singer-songwriter his sixth career No. 1 at country radio. To celebrate the milestone, he surprised fans with an official music video for the song, filmed in his hometown of Louisville, Illinois. “Chevy Silverado” Drives to No. 1 Released as part of Zimmerman’s sophomore album Different Night Same Rodeo, “Chevy Silverado” has become another major success for the rising country star. The song was written by Zimmerman alongside Tucker Beathard, Ilsey Juber, Gavin Lucas and Heath Warren, with Austin Shawn handling production. The new No. 1 adds to a remarkable run for Zimmerman, who has quickly established himself as one of country music’s rising stars. His latest achievement comes after the success of previous chart-toppers including “Fall in Love,” “Rock and a Hard Place,” “Religiously,” “Where It Ends,” and his Luke Combs collaboration “Backup Plan.” Bailey Zimmerman Takes Fans Back Home Zimmerman chose to celebrate his latest No. 1 with a music video and brought the “Chevy Silverado” story back to where it all began. Directed by Isaac Mason, the music video was filmed throughout Zimmerman’s hometown of Louisville, Illinois. The singer is seen cruising through the small town. The video opens with Zimmerman sharing a moment with his mother before grabbing his keys and announcing that he's heading out for a drive with his friends. He then opens the garage to reveal the truck at the center of the story. A Heartbreak Song Meets a Hometown Story The video also incorporates one of the song’s most important details: a photograph of a former love. Zimmerman picks up a crumpled photo and places it on the dashboard before turning up the radio. As “Chevy Silverado” begins playing, he heads out onto the road. The visual mirrors the song’s storyline, which follows a heartbroken man holding onto memories of a past relationship while finding solace behind the wheel. “Help me out, tell me how'd your heart get so cold? / Tell me when did our young love get so old? / Went from holdin' on tight to lettin' me go / I said I loved you, and I wish you never said it back / Take the sun-bleached Polaroid off my dash / I ain't got the girl in it, but I still have / This white Chevy Silverado / And it'll drive all night to get to you tomorrow,” Zimmerman sings. The Song Comes From Different Night Same Rodeo “Chevy Silverado” appears on Zimmerman’s 2025 sophomore album, Different Night Same Rodeo. The 18-track project marked another major step forward for the singer-songwriter following the success of his debut album, Religiously. The Album. The project features collaborations with Luke Combs, The Kid LAROI and Diplo, among others.
