В Пенсильвании скончался 72-летний мастер по дереву Фил Д'Энтремон, известный как «Человек-собака»

Jersey Shore, Pa. — Philip D. d’Entremont, 72, of Feasterville, Pa. and most recently Jersey Shore, Pa. passed away on July 3, 2026. Phil was a devoted husband, father, brother, PopPop, and friend to many. Born to the late Grace d’Entremont (née Berst) and Paul d’Entremont, he was the youngest of four siblings and is survived by his brothers Peter d’Entremont (Ann Louise) and Marc d’Entremont, and his sister Nicole d’Entremont. He will be forever missed by his loving family; his wife Marian d’Entremont (née McGuckin) and daughters, Grace Boone (Donheen) and Monique Macnamara (Kevin). His grandchildren Milo Lamont, Roman Philip, and Caden Patrick will certainly miss his silly games and playful nature. At an early age, Phil was athletic and would often compete with his older brother Peter and the neighborhood boys that were twice his age. In high school, his father recognized that Phil’s talents were centered around his love of creating things with his hands. After graduating high school, Phil apprenticed with woodworker Simon Watts in Putney, Vt. Watts told Phil’s father that he had taught him all he could in less than a year. Just as in athletics, Phil developed his talents quickly. After collaborating with many skilled laborers and designers, including his father and brother, Phil pursued his passion for creating custom wooden furniture. His intelligent and unique designs are still among many households, used daily and have stood the test of time. Phil did not subscribe to a particular religion or faith, but we knew he felt closest to a higher power when he was out in nature, particularly when walking his many dogs. The last 13 years of his life were spent in Jersey Shore, Pa. where he earned the nickname “the Dog Man.” If you were Phil’s dog, you had hit the jackpot in life. He is survived by his best friend Beau and we know he has been reunited with all of his beloved dogs that have crossed the rainbow bridge before him: Tina, Smokey, Buffy, Mickey, Dempsey, Ziggy, Bubbles, Harley, Lizzy, and Jasper. Phil will be remembered as someone who always kept things uncomplicated. He never owned a computer or a smartphone and he was proud of that. He had mastered the art of slowing down, being present, and choosing simplicity. He valued a conversation with his loved ones or folks in his community, usually accompanied by a cold beer and a silly joke. Friends and family are welcome to attend a memorial service honoring Phil on Friday, Nov. 20 from 12:30-2 p.m. at the Churchville Nature Center, 501 Churchville Lane Churchville, Pa. 18966, immediately followed by a luncheon at the Churchville Inn, 1500 Bustleton Pike Churchville, Pa. 18966. If you would like to honor Phil’s memory, the family is asking for contributions to be made to Home At Last Dog Rescue digitally via their website homeatlastdogrescue.com or by mail to Home At Last, P.O Box 1341, North Wales, PA 19454. Arrangements have been entrusted to Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home.
