Idaho Falls welcomed its third Les Schwab Tires location this past Friday, Aug. 7, adding a business built around serving the community. The store at 3807 S. 25th East will serve as the company’s main retail location in the area, putting it at the hub of Idaho Falls. Services include tires, brakes, suspension, front-end work, oil changes, batteries and ADAS recalibration. The store is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and is closed Sunday. Store manager Andy Gallacher is excited to bring more service to the Ammon and Idaho Falls communities. “I wake up every single morning, and I am happy to come to work,” Gallacher said. “I’m so excited and thrilled for this tremendous opportunity to open up a brand new store in such a nice area.” What began as a single store in Prineville, Oregon, in 1952, founded by Les Schwab, has grown into 600 stores across 16 states. That growth hasn’t changed the company’s values, the main one being that the customer is the boss. “We really care about the community,” Gallacher said. “The customer is the boss. If it’s something where I don’t have a resolution to somebody’s problem, then how can I continue to stay in business? I want to make sure every single customer that comes in the door is going to leave my store as happy as they possibly can.” That customer-first mentality has led to more than $2.9 billion in sales as of June 2026, generated across locations nationwide. Another reason for the company’s success has been its principle of promoting from within. Employees who start at Les Schwab work their way up through the ranks, and rather than filling prominent positions with outside hires, the company fills them with its own people.
