Фонд Джоуи Логао подарил семь автомобилей выпускникам программы поддержки сирот в Северной Каролине

CROSSNORE — Three-time NASCAR Cup Champion Joey Logano has been a longtime supporter and friend of Crossnore Communities for Children, a nonprofit supporting children and families involved with North Carolina’s foster care system. The Joey Logano Foundation (JLF), founded by Joey and his wife, Brittany, in 2013, began supporting Crossnore in 2017. In the last two years, JLF has taken a special interest in Crossnore’s Driving to Success program, most recently providing a grant for seven cars for high school graduates in Crossnore’s campus-based foster care program. JLF introduced Crossnore to Joey Logano’s Huntersville Ford where they were able to source five Ford Escapes and two Ford Edges to the program. In total, JLF has paved the way for 10 new cars at Crossnore: eight for the program and two to replace fleet vehicles damaged during Hurricane Helene. As part of Crossnore’s Driving to Success program, students in campus-based foster care who graduate high school, have a valid driver’s license and have obtained car insurance receive a dependable vehicle upon graduation. In North Carolina, only around 57% of students in foster care graduate from high school. Only 2% of them will go on to receive a higher ed degree. Driving to Success provides an additional layer of motivation for students to graduate, knowing they will receive a quality vehicle to help launch them into post-secondary success. “We want to help our students launch into adulthood without having to worry about whether they’ll be able to get to school or to work,” said Crossnore President Brett Loftis. “Reliable transportation is key to all the next steps!” Beyond the foundation’s support of Driving to Success, over the last decade JLF has provided annual support, financial housing assistance and student work program support for young people aging out of foster care, funds for the refurbishment of two campus cottages, clothing and school uniforms for children in campus-based foster care, therapy scholarships for youth served by Crossnore’s foster care programs, tele-health care packages during COVID, holiday gifts, day trips for staff and students, appreciation gifts for Crossnore’s foster parents, and funds to help build a trauma-responsive charter school on Crossnore’s Winston-Salem campus. Since 2013, the Joey Logano Foundation has invested more than $6 million in child welfare organizations. In addition to their tremendous giving, JLF also hopes to inspire others to live lives of generosity. “We hope to show the impact on the lives of children who are given a first or second chance through resources provided by the Joey Logano Foundation,” said co-founder Brittany Logano. “Joey and I hope to give children [involved with foster care] the resources they need to flourish. The joy we get from helping others and seeing the smiles firsthand is immeasurable. If you can get involved, wherever you are, and you can see the impact for yourself—it fuels everything.” “Joey, Brittany, and the Joey Logano Foundation have been extraordinary partners in our work,” said Caroline Hart, Crossnore’s Chief External Relations and Strategy Officer. “These cars are more than a way to get from one place to another; they are a pathway to independence, education, employment and opportunity. Most importantly, they send a powerful message to our young people: we believe in you and in your future. We are incredibly grateful for JLF’s continued investment in the children and families we serve.” About Crossnore Communities for Children With more than 100 years of history and expertise, Crossnore Communities for Children provides holistic care to children and families who have experienced trauma.
