Бар The Craic Clover в Парри-Саунде возобновил работу после устранения проблем с санитарией

UPDATE: The Craic Clover reopened after passing a food safety inspection on Aug. 28. The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit first closed the pub on Aug. 14 due to an “insect/rodent infestation,” according to the health unit’s website. In a follow-up visit on Aug. 25, inspectors found “evidence of pests” in the restaurant and determined the business was not ready to reopen. For the third time in a month, the pub failed a food safety inspection on the morning of Aug. 28. The health unit noted the food premises were not kept in “good repair” and in a “sanitary condition.” Health unit staff visited the site again hours later and determined it was safe to reopen. The Craic Clover has temporarily closed due to a pest infestation at the facility, according to the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit. Health unit staff inspected the James Street pub on Aug. 14 and found a “significant insect/rodent infestation,” according to the health unit’s website. Following the inspection, the health unit cited the establishment for two infractions, one of which was classified as “serious.” The pub failed to keep the facility free of serious health hazards that could compromise food safety or sanitary conditions, according to the health unit. The second infraction cited the restaurant for failing to adequately protect itself against the entry of insects, vermin and rodents. The health unit notes that the restaurant failed to maintain required pest control records for the past year and ordered the business to hire a licensed pest control operator. After receiving a “high hazard rating,” the restaurant announced it will temporarily close the facility “to address an issue in our kitchen and complete necessary maintenance, professional treatment, and thorough deep cleaning of the premises.” The Craic Clover has logged 59 total infractions — including 14 critical and 45 noncritical violations — across 14 inspections since June 2024. The restaurant has also received a conditional pass on three separate occasions — January 2026, July 2025 and February 2025. According to inspection logs, previous infractions include failure to keep the premises clean and in good repair, as well as failing to protect food from contamination or adulteration.
