Adena Health завершила приобретение Fairfield Medical Center и объединила его в единую систему здравоохранения

LANCASTER — Adena Health today announced it has completed its acquisition of Fairfield Medical Center, officially welcoming the hospital, its patients, providers, caregivers, and communities into the Adena Health family. As part of the acquisition, Fairfield Medical Center will now be known as Adena Fairfield Medical Center, marking a new chapter for the hospital. The two organizations share a commitment to strengthening access to high-quality healthcare in the communities they serve, including rural communities where local access to care is especially important, and a culture centered on serving others. “Today is a significant day in the more than 130-year history of Adena Health, as we welcome Adena Fairfield Medical Center,” said Kathi Edrington, Adena President and CEO. “Our mission calls us to serve our communities, and we believe the people who live and work in this region deserve access to high-quality care they can trust, close to home. Adena Fairfield Medical Center represents our commitment to carrying forward the hospital’s proud history while building an even stronger future for local healthcare.” The shared values and culture of the two organizations were an important part of the decision to bring them together. “At its heart, healthcare is people helping people,” said Matt Wideman, Fairfield Medical Center Board of Directors Chair. “Our people and the care they provide remain at the center of what we do, now with the additional resources, expertise, and scale that come with joining a larger health system. We believe this is the right decision for our patients, our people, and the communities who depend on us for their care.” Adena Fairfield Medical Center will continue providing care to the patients and communities it has served, while the organizations work together to support a smooth transition for patients and staff, with a focus on continuity of care and minimizing disruption. The organizations began working toward this agreement earlier this year after announcing a letter of intent on June 1, 2026. Since then, their boards, leadership teams, providers, and staff have worked collaboratively through the due diligence process to reach today’s milestone. “Our responsibility has always been to ensure Fairfield Medical Center is positioned to serve our communities well into the future,” said John R. “Jack” Janoso Jr., Fairfield Medical Center President and CEO. “I believe joining Adena Health provides that strong path forward, and I am confident in all that is ahead.” Edrington said the people of Fairfield Medical Center will be central to its continued success as part of Adena. “Fairfield Medical Center brings an exceptional workforce to Adena — people whose expertise, dedication, and commitment to their patients align deeply with our own,” she said. “We are honored to welcome Fairfield Medical Center to our team, and to carry forward the trust that they have built in their communities.” For more about Adena Health, its healthcare providers, and its full range of services, visit Adena.org, or follow us on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or X @adenamedical.
