Актёр Кристофер Полаха и создатели фильма «Rescued» приедут в Милфорд для презентации проекта и благодарности спонсорам

Kristoffer Polaha, an actor who has appeared in 21 Hallmark movies, as well as other television, film and stage productions, is coming to Milford on Friday, Oct. 23, in connection with an upcoming film. Polaha is playing the lead role in an upcoming film, working title “Rescued,” about an American comedian named Mike Williams who moved his family to the Dominican Republic in 2010 and became involved in an attempt to rescue a Haitian refugee from Russian human traffickers. That led to the establishment of CUPS Mission, an organization that today works in three countries on two continents, helping to fight poverty, and provide young boys and girls education, training, and options to avoid being trafficked. The movie, written and directed by Trey Reynolds (“Blue Miracle,” “The Forge,” “Family Camp”), was shot on location in the Dominican Republic in March and April of 2026, and is currently in postproduction, with a projected release in late 2027. The Bridge, a Christian radio network with stations in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and New Jersey, has been a longtime supporter of CUPS Mission, and its listeners sponsor a village near Puerto Plata called La Union Abajo. The Bridge is hosting the event, called CUPS Comedy Cast Party. Williams (Dry Bar Comedy, Dove Award Comedian of the Year) will also be appearing at the event. He, along with his wife and three children, lived in the Dominican Republic and have helped thousands of children over the past 15 years. The Bridge staff and listeners have provided funds, labor and equipment to CUPS Mission projects for almost a decade. Polaha and Williams, along with director Reynolds, Executive Producer Jack Eason, Associate Producer Benjamin Weeks and others, are coming to Delaware to celebrate the completion of the production phase of the movie, and to thank listeners of The Bridge for their role in supporting the mission and the production of the film. The evening will include a Q&A, a first look at exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and a clip from the movie. The event is open to the public and will be held at United Church, Milford Campus, 985 N. Dupont Boulevard, on Friday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m. Early-bird tickets are available for $20 through Aug. 31, at https://www.wearethebridge.org/cups. The price on any remaining tickets increases on Sept. 1. A few VIP Red Carpet Reception tickets remain. Those tickets cost $100 and include a private reception with Polaha, the director and others. In addition to being known as one of Hallmark’s leading men, Polaha has had roles in “North Shore,” “Life Unexpected,” “Wonder Woman 1984,” “Jurassic World Dominion,” “Mad Men,” “CSI: Miami” and many other movies and TV shows. He is starring alongside Jon Hamm in the upcoming psychological thriller “American Hostage” on MGM+.
