Организация ELI привлекает диаспорные инвестиции для борьбы с детскими травмами в Израиле

As a former CEO, I learned to evaluate every challenge through a fundamental financial lens: the balance sheet. When looking at Israel’s future economic stability and social cohesion, there is no greater hidden liability than untreated childhood trauma, and no higher-yield investment than breaking the intergenerational cycle of abuse. From Establishing the Need to Scalable Innovation When ELI, the Israel Association for Child Protection was established in 1979 as Israel’s pioneering child protection organization, the primary victory was simply proving that the problem existed. Raising awareness and breaking the silence surrounding child abuse was a monumental task. Today, the landscape looks radically different. Demand for our specialized mental health services has surged to historic levels, driven by compounding national crises, social strain, and a growing public willingness to seek help. Meeting this demand requires a complete shift in our approach. We can no longer rely solely on legacy methods. We need to pioneer innovative, modern therapeutic models. Central to ELI’s approach is treating the family as a whole system. When a child experiences abuse or severe trauma, the entire household is affected. Recovery cannot occur in isolation. By providing individualized, specialized clinical treatment tailored to every family member, parents, siblings, and other family members alike, we ensure that the home transforms from a place of distress into a fortress of security. The Power of Agile Diaspora Partnership This level of comprehensive care is an enormous economic undertaking. Government frameworks provide a vital foundation, but traditional state budgets are inherently rigid. They are built for maintenance, not rapid scale or immediate crisis response. This is where the transformative power of Jewish organizations in the United States plays a decisive role. From Jewish Federations across North America to dedicated family foundations and diaspora donors, Jewish communities in the USA provide far more than emergency funds. They provide strategic, agile philanthropy. Their financial partnership gives us the capital to scale our frontline services, expand remote therapy networks, and train hundreds of professionals across educational and military sectors. I am proud to say that ELI earned a 2025 Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency and that we are among fewer than 1% of U.S. and partner nonprofits nationwide for operational accountability and clear impact. Securing Israel’s Future Balance Sheet From a national economic perspective, every shekel not invested in a traumatized child today becomes a massive compounding liability tomorrow. Untreated trauma manifests in long-term adult disability, decreased workplace productivity, higher healthcare costs, and systemic strain on social welfare services. Conversely, early and holistic therapeutic intervention yields exponential returns. By restoring a child’s emotional baseline and stabilizing their family, we preserve Israel’s future talent pool, strengthen its workforce, and guarantee social resilience. Child welfare is a strategic national investment. With the ongoing, unwavering support of our Jewish philanthropic partners in the United States, ELI will continue to innovate, adapt, and heal, ensuring that every child in Israel has the opportunity to build a secure, productive, and resilient future.
