Northern Virginia-based Thompson Restaurants has opened two new Milk & Honeys in Prince William County – its 20th location, in Gainesville, and on Wednesday its newest eatery in Manassas. Another Milk & Honey – a Southern-inspired restaurant concept – is planned to open in Tysons Corner Center in the fall. The Gainesville restaurant, at 12853 Braemar Village Center, Bristow, opened in July in the former Velocity Wings space. Manassas’ new spot is at 10088 Dumfries Road in the Wellington Station Shopping Center. "Opening our 20th and 21st locations back-to-back is a huge milestone for our team and a reflection of the incredible support we've received throughout the region," Alex Berentzen, chief operating officer of Thompson Restaurants, said in a news release. "Gainesville and Manassas are communities Milk & Honey has been eager to join, and we're excited to keep growing throughout Northern Virginia, with Tysons Corner opening this fall." The Manassas location seats 196 guests across 148 interior seats, including 98 booths, 34 bar stools and 16 high-top seats, plus a 48-seat patio. The Gainesville restaurant seats 136 guests across an 80-seat dining room, a 40-seat bar and a 16-seat patio. Both locations showcase the brand's vibrant design aesthetic, including LED signage and a curated art collection through Milk & Honey's ongoing partnership with Artbae. Milk & Honey Gainesville and Manassas are open Sunday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Both locations offer dine-in, takeout, delivery and patio dining. The Tysons Corner Center location is shaping up to be the brand's most ambitious project yet, according to the release. At more than 4,900 square feet, the space is getting a full top-to-bottom transformation, complete with an expansive covered outdoor patio built to feel like a Southern veranda. Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Reston, Thompson Restaurants owns and operates restaurants in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., Ohio and South Florida. Led by President and Founder Warren Thompson, the group owns and operates 15 brands across more than 70 locations, including Makers Union, matchbox, Big Buns Damn Good Burgers, Hen Quarter, Milk & Honey and Wiseguy Pizza.
