В Уоткинс-Глене анонсировали спикеров TEDx-мероприятия с участием гонщика Линн Сент-Джеймс

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WENY) — The Watkins Glen Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the speaker lineup for the TEDx event coming to Watkins Glen International. Speakers like race car driver Lyn Saint James are traveling in for the event. There will also be more local speakers at the event, including Fireside Festival owner Alex Hoag. On Aug. 19, sixteen speakers will come to Watkins Glen to speak on everything from digital distraction to business advice. Event curator and executive director of the Watkins Glen Area Chamber of Commerce Nigar Hale said that she’s excited to bring TEDx back to the region. "There will be personal stories that are shared and how people overcame their challenges or what drove them, and sixteen speakers just blows my mind,” Hale said. ‘So like I said, we are going to have some live performances that are woven in there. Which is very in the TED tradition." Hale added that the talks will be recorded for people to watch back. She said she estimates the playback will reach more than 40 million people. The TEDx event is happening on Wednesday, Aug. 19, at the Glen Club at Watkins Glen International. Tickets are still available. Information about tickets and the rest of the speakers can be found here.
