PIGEON FORGE — Tera Cooper was promoted to assistant director of the LeConte Event Center at Pigeon Forge. Cooper becomes the first to step into this new role at the city-owned facility. “As assistant director, Tera will use her experience to support the LeConte Event Center team in hosting large-scale events that continue to contribute to Pigeon Forge’s economic success,” said LeConte Event Center Director Phil Campbell. “The LeConte Center’s future is growing, especially amid our two-year expansion project, and Tera’s leadership will ensure success for our team and our many event owners who entrust us to take care of them and their guests.”  Most recently event manager, Cooper joined the staff when the $45 million LeConte Center opened in 2013. Her previous experience includes six years in event management with a local hotel and conference center.
