Рыбалка на судака в Бартлсвилле: сбор средств для программы D.A.R.E.

The Masonic Lodge 31st Annual DARE Bass Tournament is a fun way to support the local D.A.R.E. program. The Drug Abuse Resistance Education program (D.A.R.E) is a school-based initiative designed to teach children how to resist peer pressure, drugs, and violence. Appearing on COMMUNITY CONNECTION, Washington County Sheriff Scott Owen said the location will be Sunset at Bernice Park over at Grand Lake. He said, "James Ott runs that. It's a great little campground, and he so graciously helps us with this every year. He's really got a ton of time and money invested in this, and they have a good time. Entry forms are available at www.bartlesvillemasons.com or you can pick one up at the Masonic Lodge, or you can pick these up at the sheriff's office. Owen said, "At 3am, all the boats will be coming in. We'll have the weigh-in.They'll start with the boats at about 5 in the morning." He added, "100 percent of the money generated goes right to the county's D.A.R.E. fund. Thanks to the sponsorships, we're able to provide free tackle packs, a special prize for the child catching the biggest bass, things like that. And at the end of all this is a presentation of the winnings and awards and a complimentary meal for all the participants." Owen said the D.A.R.E. program is one way we can get the substance abuse problem solved in grade school, middle school, and high school so that we can create better citizens and better community leaders.
