Отдел исправлений Огайо передал более 700 радиостанций экстренным служгам и школам

PIKE COUNTY, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) donated over 700 pre-owned radios to emergency response agencies and school districts across the state. Pike County organizations received 70 of these radios. The devices are part of ODRC’s previous Multi-Agency Radio Communication System (MARCS), which they recently upgraded. The department donated radio that still “hold value for other agencies that may lack the resources to modernize or expand their MARCS radio equipment,” ODRC said in a press release. So far, 25 agencies across Ohio have received 739 radios from ODRC, and the department is still fielding requests from other organizations for their equipment. “One of our core values at ODRC is ‘One Team, One Purpose,’” ODRC Interim Director Ed Banks said. “We knew that there was a need for this technology in some of our communities, and this is one way we can give back. I want to especially recognize ODRC project manager Kyle Hauswirth for taking on this project and noticing the need in the community.” Two Pike County agencies received 70 radios and accessories; the Pike County Sheriff’s Office received 30, and the Pebble Township Volunteer Fire Department received 40. Other area organizations, including Scioto Township Fire and Scioto Valley Local Schools, received 62 radios. Twin Township, Huntington Township and Bainbridge fire departments in Ross County received 53 radios. Email [email protected] withs news tips.
