Школа Kankakee Valley примет ежегодный конвенцию студенческих советов штата Индиана

WHEATFIELD — Kankakee Valley High School has been informed it will host the 65th annual Indiana Association of Student Councils state convention this November. The three-day conference, which is hosted each year by an IASC member school, is set for Nov. 13-15 and will feature between 250-300 students from throughout the state. Over the course of the convention, delegates can attend leadership workshops presented by fellow students, hear national caliber keynote speakers, network with students and adults from their district and around the state and receive information and tools that will strengthen them as leaders, as well as their councils. Students will also be able to sample local food over the course of the event. This year’s theme is Launch Your Leadership and the convention is open to any middle school and high school student. KV will be the first northern school to host the event after previous conventions were held in Greenwood and Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Members of the KVSC school board were also notified that Luke Schepel has been invited by the IHSAA to play the National Anthem on Saturday, Nov. 28 at the football state finals, said KVSC superintendent Don Street. Schepel is a senior saxophonist with the KVHS band.
