Трей Аллен выпустил книгу о Конституции США под псевдонимом Томас Пейн

Trey Allen has published "Common Sense: For a Republic Worth Keeping: A Citizen's Guide to Liberty, the Constitution, and Self-Government," written under the pen name Thomas the Pain in the tradition of Thomas Paine's own anonymous 1776 pamphlet. The book is available now on Amazon in paperback ($19.95) and eBook ($11.99) formats. Timed to the Constitution's 250th anniversary, the book asks a simple question at its core: Can a constitutional republic survive if its citizens no longer understand how it works? Structured as a series of plain-spoken conversations rather than a legal lecture, it walks readers through why the nation's founders divided and limited government power, the Constitution itself explained article by article, and the Bill of Rights explored amendment by amendment. What distinguishes the book, according to the author, is its discipline: every contentious question inside — from how much power a president should hold to whether the Electoral College still makes sense — is presented with the strongest argument on every side, never a verdict. "I made myself one rule and kept it through every chapter," the author said. "No matter how strongly I felt about a question, I owed the other side the strongest version of their argument, not a strawman. Agreement was never the goal. Understanding is." The book includes three appendices: the full Constitution translated into modern English, a constitutional timeline and a practical guide to civic involvement. Trey Allen is a Lufkin-based creative director and master photographer with more than 40 years of experience, trained under Ansel Adams at Yosemite Field Workshops. He chose to publish under a pen name in homage to Thomas Paine's own anonymous printing of the original Common Sense and to "Publius," the shared pseudonym behind the Federalist Papers.
