Основательница Berkshire HorseWorks назначена новым генеральным директором организации

RICHMOND — Hayley Sumner, founder and executive director of Berkshire HorseWorks, has been named CEO of the mission-driven nonprofit. Berkshire HorseWorks provides evidence-based equine assisted psychotherapy and equine assisted learning programs with Eagala-certified professionals. The nonprofit provides programs and services to more than 4,500 at-risk youth, active-duty service members, veterans, families, and other vulnerable populations. Sumner will continue to guide the organization’s mission while taking on broader responsibilities to strengthen its long-term sustainability and growth. Her expanded role reflects the growing scope of Berkshire HorseWorks’ programs as it enters a new decade of service to the community. “When Hayley first shared the concept of Berkshire HorseWorks with me, explaining that she was switching career gears to launch a nonprofit focused on the transformative power of horses and its impact on at-risk kids, I immediately saw the passion behind her vision," said Don Ganger, president of Motion Pictures at Paramount Skydance Corp. and vice president of Berkshire HorseWorks’ board. "Knowing her tenacity from her career in the communications world, I knew she had the determination to parlay those strengths into this new venture. She has proven, day after day, that she can manifest the dream she’s carried with her since farm camp.” The organization will hold its 13th annual gala, “Year of the Horse: A Year of Transformation,” from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Berkshire Equestrian Center, 40 Perry's Peak Road.
