Из-за непогоды перенесли церемонию памяти основателя Форта Маккой

SPARTA, Wis. (WXOW) – Weather forced organizers to postpone a remembrance ceremony honoring the founder of Fort McCoy. The event was planned to recognize Maj. Gen. Robert Bruce McCoy, the visionary who founded Fort McCoy in 1909. The ceremony was set to take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Sparta. Organizers decided to reschedule due to weather and concerns for family members attending the event. "Major General McCoy has some older family members that are here to honor him today [Tuesday], and we just are concerned about their health, so we want to make sure we have some decent weather before we have them out here for the ceremony," said Command Sgt. Maj. James Riddle for Fort McCoy Army Garrisons. Fort McCoy officials have not announced when they plan to reschedule the ceremony.
