Lock Haven, Pa. — After going to a Lock Haven bar to see if his ex-girlfriend was there with another man, a man reportedly punched and shattered a window on his way out. Just after 11 p.m. on July 31, Sergeant Jonathon Gregory was asked to contact the owner of The Old Corner bar and restaurant on North Grove Street for a report of a man punching a window and shattering it. The accused was later identified as David Ralph Heaton Jr., 49, of Beech Creek.  Gregory met with the owner at the restaurant, as well as one of the bartenders and Heaton's ex-girlfriend, who was in the bar when the incident reportedly happened. The owner showed Gregory surveillance footage of Heaton in the bar and said that on several previous occasions, the owner had told Heaton he was not allowed in the establishment. While in The Old Corner, Heaton is seen speaking with his ex-girlfriend and the bartender. The bartender had told Heaton he was not welcome there, and needed to leave, she told police. Heaton's ex-girlfriend said he had apparently went into the bar to accuse her of being there with someone else. Heaton started to leave until another man came out of the restroom, which appeared to upset Heaton. Instead of continuing out the door, he walked towards the man that just came out of the restroom. Another man Heaton had come in with appeared to try to get him to leave by grabbing him and pushing him towards the door. While going out the side door onto North Grove Street, another surveillance camera outdoors clearly showed Heaton intentionally punch the door's glass panel, shattering it, police say. On Aug. 30, Heaton was charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief, and summary counts of disorderly conduct and trespassing.
