В долине Вейл на выходные: концерты легендарной группы Lovin' Spoonful, йога с козами и обмен школьными вещами

An iconic 60s band, yoga with goats, line dancing and a clothing swap this weekend in the Vail Valley The summer is winding down but there are still plenty of things to do up and down valley The Lovin’ Spoonful plays in Beaver Creek Ready for a little midday music? Head to Creekside Park in Beaver Creek and listen to tunes from iconic 1960s band, Lovin’ Spoonful. Lovin’ Spoonful was North America’s answer to the Beatles. This band was formed in Greenwich Village in New York City in 1965 and amassed ten Top 40 hits like, “Do You Believe in Magic,” “Summer in the City,” “Daydream” and more. Creekside Park is the recently revamped park located below the Covered Bridge and across from Avondale Lane. The new look and functionality of the park was revealed last year and the concerts at the pavilion at Creekside Park have been a hit with locals and visitors and are very family-friendly, especially with all the playground equipment that is inspired by nature. It’s called the Birds of Prey Playground, named after the famous alpine ski racing World Cup event that occurs on the mountain each winter. These aren’t ordinary swings and slides, the architecture of the equipment is so unique and that alone is worth making the trip to Beaver Creek. Feel free to bring your own picnics, drinks, picnic blankets and camp chairs to the park to help you get comfortable during the show. Grab your food order to go from one of the many restaurants like Blue Moose Pizza, Coyote Café and 8100 Mountainside Bar and Grill inside the Park Hyatt. Come early and stroll the walking paths along the creek and see great views of Beaver Creek Mountain. Lovin’ Spoonful will take you on a trip down a musical memory lane. For those of a certain age, you may remember the band’s performances on television shows like “The Ed Sullivan Show,” “Hullabaloo” and “Shindig!” The concert is from 2-4 p.m. on Friday and is free. More information can be found at beavercreek.com. 4 Eagle Ranch Western Dance Night Grab your boots and get ready to hit the dance floor at 4 Eagle Ranch this Friday. Hang with goats at Vail Stables Vail Stables has more than horses, this ranch that overlooks the slopes of Vail is the home of many little goats who are just waiting to meet and greet you. Take time out of your day or vacation and head up the hill to pet and feed the goats and perform a few yoga poses with them. Vail Stables hosts a happy hour, or more like happy hours between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on certain days and yoga sessions with goats from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Check out the websites to find out exact dates, times and pricing. During happy hour, grab a beer, wine or cocktail at the bar and then go hang with the goat herd. The goats will be wandering around the fenced area and are fun to watch and interact with, just be aware of their nibbling! They like to chew on everything! Yoga with goats is a fun way to start your day. You’ll be led through various yoga poses and the goats weave throughout the mats and your yoga mates and sometimes are even bold enough to climb on you during certain poses. It’s such a fun experience and the session may be more about getting those selfies with the goats than doing your yoga poses perfectly. To see a calendar of the happy hour and the yoga classes, go to vailstables.com. Guided Hikes on Vail Mountain Take advantage of the gondola still being open daily and enjoy some of the guided hikes on Vail Mountain. Walking Mountains provides a naturalist to lead you along the trails and will tell you about the surrounding flora and fauna. There are two ability-level hikes to choose from. The Easy Nature Hike is at 1-2 p.m. Wed.-Sun. The Moderate Nature Hike is at 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Easy Nature Hike is about three-fourths of a mile on a relatively flat trail and focuses on local plants, wildlife and ecology and is set at a gentle pace. The Moderate Nature Hike is about a mile long and will involve more elevation gain. It’s suitable for those 12 years old and older. These hikes start out at the Nature Discover Center at the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola, right around 10,350 feet above sea level. The walks are free, but you must register on walkingmountains.org. If you have your 2026-2027 Epic Pass, you may use it to get to Eagle’s Nest. If you don’t have your pass, you can buy a scenic lift ticket to get you up the hill or hike up if you are really ambitious. The information you’ll learn on these educational hikes will stay with you even when you return in the wintertime or next summer, so it’s a great way to learn more about the area and get closer to nature.
