Пластический хирург из Лонг-Айленда признан одним из лучших косметологов Америки в 2026 году

In a field where appearances often take center stage, Dr. Lyle Leipziger believes trust comes first. The Kings Point resident and chief of plastic surgery at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center says every patient relationship begins with listening. “You have to have a comprehensive consultation,” Leipziger said. “You have to understand the reason why the patient’s undergoing a plastic surgery procedure, review their goals, and make sure their expectations are realistic.” That patient-centered approach recently earned Leipziger national recognition when The Hollywood Reporter named him one of its “Best Cosmetic Doctors and Aesthetic Gurus in America 2026.” Board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Leipziger has spent more than 25 years specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive procedures of the face, breast and body. Leipziger’s interest in plastic surgery began while volunteering at hospitals as a high school student, where he watched plastic surgeons perform surgeries. He soon realized that the specialty combined two of his passions. “I always had an interest in art and science,” he said. “Plastic surgery is both art and science.” Read More: Great Neck man’s hardest race began at a playground After earning degrees from Johns Hopkins University and Cornell University Medical College and completing advanced surgical training, Leipziger returned to Long Island. He and his wife made Great Neck their home, first living in Great Neck Estates before settling in Kings Point about 20 years ago. Today, their daughter lives nearby in Roslyn with her family, and the couple enjoys spending time with their two young grandchildren. While many people associate plastic surgery with cosmetic procedures, Leipziger said reconstructive surgery is equally meaningful. “It’s equally rewarding to help a woman who is diagnosed with breast cancer who needs a double mastectomy feel whole again by performing a breast reconstruction,” he said. Cosmetic surgery, he added, can be just as transformative. He pointed to patients who have lost significant weight with GLP-1 medications but struggle with excess skin and changes to their bodies. “They look on the scale and say, ‘Wow, I feel so much better about myself,'” he said. “Then they come out of the shower and look at their body and say, ‘Oh my God, I feel like a deflated balloon.’ These patients can often undergo transformative body-contouring procedures to restore their self-image and confidence.” Whether performing reconstructive or cosmetic procedures, Leipziger said his goal is the same: helping patients “look as good on the outside as they feel on the inside.” The same philosophy guides the residents he trains at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center. “I want them to be the best they can be, provide excellent care and always be available for their patients,” Leipziger said. He also encourages young surgeons to balance innovation with patience. “I don’t usually jump on the bandwagon immediately,” he said. “Sometimes new things need to be vetted.” Whether mentoring residents or treating patients, Leipziger holds himself to the same standard. “I never leave the operating room until I’m 100% happy with the results,” he said. “Never settle for mediocrity.” After more than 25 years in practice, that philosophy still drives him. “To me, it’s not a job,” he said. “It’s a lifelong passion.”
