Pickett III announced the appointment of Andrew DeVoe as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective Oct. 5, 2026. DeVoe currently serves as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Tufts Medicine in Boston, a release from Albany Med noted. Hospital officials said DeVoe will lead the Albany Med Health System’s enterprise finance organization and oversee financial strategy, planning and analysis, accounting, revenue cycle, capital planning, treasury, payer strategy, and financial reporting. He will work closely with leaders across Albany Medical Center, Albany Medical College, Columbia Memorial Health, Glens Falls Hospital, Saratoga Hospital, and the Albany Med Health System Visiting Nurses, the release said. “Andrew is a proven health care leader who understands how disciplined financial management, operational improvement, and thoughtful investment work together to strengthen an academic health system,” Pickett said in the news release. “He has successfully led organizations through periods of significant transformation while remaining focused on their people, mission, and communities. His experience will be invaluable as we build a more integrated Albany Med Health System and execute First Choice 2030.” According to the release, DeVoe previously served for eight years as executive vice president and chief financial officer of TriHealth, a clinically integrated health system based in Cincinnati. During his tenure, he led financial operations and strategy for an organization that included six hospitals, a large multispecialty physician group, major ambulatory locations, home health, hospice, rehabilitation, and other health services. TriHealth achieved one of the health care industry’s strongest credit ratings during his leadership. The news release said that DeVoe also previously served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Aria Health System in Philadelphia and held the same position at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, where he helped lead a significant financial turnaround. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions with Physiotherapy Associates, Apollo Health Street, and Tenet Health System. He also founded and served as principal consultant for Exceptional Healthcare Resources, a boutique consulting firm. “The Albany Med Health System has an extraordinary mission, a proud history, and a unique responsibility as the region’s only academic health system,” DeVoe said in the release. “I am excited to join Dan and the leadership team at this important moment in the System’s evolution and look forward to working with colleagues across the System to strengthen our financial performance, support responsible growth, and ensure our resources have the greatest impact where they’re most important: with our patients and communities.
