Школа искусств и наук в Сагинаве вошла в топ-5 штата Мичиган по версии U.S. News

Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy (SASA) has earned a top-five ranking in Michigan from the U.S. News & World Report. SASA is known for offering a specific curriculum for its students, and 6th-grade mathematics teacher Jerusha Joiner says what makes the school unique. Joiner says, “ I would say that what makes SASA special is we have kind of a family atmosphere here. It's a 6 through 12 school, and there's not a lot of those around, and we're small enough where we can still kind of be family." For Joiner, the school has become a family. She put her daughters through the SASA curriculum, and just three steps away, in the next classroom is her sister. In fact, even the Principal, Kasydra Goode-Tibbs, has put her children through the program. “We are an innovative and always evolving program...The goal is to always rise higher and do better to make sure we're bringing the best experience- educational, academic, and developmental experience to students," said Goode-Tibbs SASA offers classes allowing students to focus on a pathway. The concentration students pick guides their experience through the academy. That structure is what has helped SASA become one of the most highly-ranked schools in Michigan based on the U.S. News & World Report. "I believe in this so much that, you know, I sent my own children here,” Joiner added. “I think that when kids feel like, well, A, they're studying something that they're interested in, right? But B, have that support that they need, that's when they flourish, and that's what you've seen with our students and why we are ranked right now, the way we're ranked in the state,” said Joiner Along with the top five ranking, the academy is also in the top one percent in the country based on the U.S. News & World Report rating.
