Bougie rooftop bars in Colorado Springs are few and far between, but plenty of rooftop patios can be found around town — and they all bring the Springs’ classic mountainscape view that elevate any dining experience.
Here are eight of our favorite rooftop bars and patios around Colorado Springs, from the Michelin seeking to quintessential local breweries:
A private spot that features superb cocktails and a view for days, Lumen8 is a great option for those who are looking for a comfortable yet elevated rooftop to spend your evening. If you’re looking for something a little earlier – join for weekend brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Find Lumen8 at 402 S. Tejon Street in downtown Colorado Springs. Keep in mind that reservations are required.
RYZE Skyline Lounge
Located at the top of the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Colorado Springs, RYZE offers a full menu accompanied with a scenic view of Pikes Peak.
The moody lighting and cozy seating makes guests feel right at home while curbing the craving of a good view and even better food. RYZE has told The Gazette that they are seeking a Michelin rating from their upscale, latin inspired dishes.
Reservations are required if you plan on spending your evening at RYZE. Find the rooftop bar at 125 N. Cascade Street.
Blondies Ultra Lounge
Three stories of pure fun in the heart of downtown, Blondies Ultra Lounge has any kind of night you’re looking for.
The first floor is decked out with a DJ and full dancefloor; the second floor gives more space to breathe; but the rooftop gives bargoers the full downtown experience.
With fire pits, a full bar on every level and nonstop music, Blondies’ rooftop gives you a view of Tejon Street with the background of America’s Mountain. Find Blondies at 24 N. Tejon Street.
Phantom Canyon Brewing Co.
It’s not Colorado without a brewery, and Phantom Canyon has everything you need and more.
If locally brewed beer isn’t enough to convince you, then their menu and rooftop patio might. While the patio is first-come-first-served, if you’re able to grab a spot, it will definitely be worth your while. If you want to take a break from the patio, Phantom also has a billiards room.
Happy hour is from 3 to 6 p.m. daily, and all day Sunday. Find Phantom Canyon at 2 E. Pikes Peak Avenue in downtown Colorado Springs.
Pizzeria Leopold
Taking a break from downtown? Head to Old Colorado City and spend your evening at Pizzeria Leopold.
Who doesn’t like a slice of pizza and a wonderful view? The pizzeria is family-owned and even more family-friendly with a menu that features pizzas, sandwiches, and salads.
The rooftop patio seating has a beautiful view of the mountains and brings a sense of calm to whoever has the pleasure of stopping by. Grab a few friends and head to OCC for dinner with a view at 2430 W. Colorado Avenue.
Gasoline Alley
If you’re into Classic Rock, Gasoline Alley is your place.
Located right in the middle of downtown Colorado Springs, the bar has TVs playing the latest games, a menu that makes your mouth water and a comfortable rooftop that gives you the space to take a moment to enjoy your surroundings. An added bonus are the nightly drink specials. If you go, be sure to try the garlic parmesan fries.
Find Gasoline Alley at 28 N. Tejon Street.
ICONS
Dance the night away at ICONS and then take a break on their quaint but cozy rooftop.
It’s one of the few LGBTQIA+ bars in Colorado Springs, and does not disappoint. There’s a new event nearly every night, but if that’s not your thing, take yourself to the roof on the second floor.
Climbing the narrow staircase transports you to a completely different space that allows you to take a breather and take in the energy of downtown. Find ICONS at 16 E. Kiowa Street.
ViewHouse
On the north side of Colorado Springs sits ViewHouse. Whether you’re looking for a casual dinner or a place to watch the game, the rooftop at the ViewHouse is the place to be.
Sports fans love the atmosphere with its outdoor TVs, spacious seating, and great beer menu. They host events throughout the year like the September Backyard Bands and Brews or the Great American Tailgates during football season.
The rooftop bar brings a classy feel to the sports bar vibe, with stunning views of Pikes Peak and Cheyenne Mountain in the distance. Find ViewHouse at 7114 Campus Drive.
