Новичок Кольтон Прайс стал капитаном защиты и рассказал о трагической утрате брата

Coleton Price excited to anchor Big Blue wall Coleton Price is the anchor of the new Big Blue wall. "Big Blue wall is a legacy you want to keep," Price said. "You know, something it's almost that lives inside of you." It's not the most glamorous position but it is one of the most important, which is why Will Stein targeted Price, a transfer from Baylor. "Obviously at center, you've got to make sure guys are in the right spots and make sure you get the calls right," Price said. "I mean, the communication is a big deal with our offensive line in our entire offensive schemes. And so that's one of the biggest things we harp on is communication. Like if one guy doesn't know what to do, then you're wrong. You know, you want to get everyone on the same page. And if everyone's wrong together, everyone's right." There is a lot more to Price than football. On October 10th, 2025, on a Baylor bye week, he married Hailey Skinner. "We didn't do too big of a wedding," he recalled. "It was more of like a quick, quick wedding. We were ready for it, and so we wanted to get married as a mutual choice, obviously. But but yeah, it was during a bye week we decided to go get locked in, man. I mean, it was just awesome." Marriage has changed his college experience. "I mean, I do everything with her," Price said. "I mean, we have some dogs to hang out with them. And so being able to get away from football for just a little bit, I mean, get my mind settled and hang out with my wife is one of the best things I do. And so it gives me a little bit of a vantage for sure." What kind of dogs you might be asking? "Toy cavapoos," Price said. "So they're a little toy. A little cavapoo is about 15 pounds. Small dogs. She loves them, hyper allergenic." Price's story isn't all wedding cakes and cavapoos, it's also about the number 72 "My grandpa wore 72. My dad wore 72," he said. "It was a little bit something that passed down. And so then I wore 72 after my dad. And then one of the biggest things when I came here, I wanted 72 because, I mean, my brother wore it after me. And so he ended up passing away in 2023, in January. He was a junior in high school. Me and him are really close. One of my best friends, you know. And so that's one of the things that is really, really hard on me whenever I'm thinking of it. Every single time I wear 72, for sure. I think of him and the the legacy that we had. And so they ended up retiring 72 over there at my high school." His younger brother, Colby, was killed in a car accident at the age of 16, and Colby's memory is one of the things that fuels his older brother. "He was always pushing me, you know, and so whenever he he texted me, like, I remember the last thing he texted me, he was like, why settle?" Price said. "And so whenever he said that, I mean, I keep that right there on top of my page notebook every single day. And so it pushes me every single day to don't settle for what you got, you know, just keep on going."
