Баскетболист из Кентукки отправляется в подготовительную школу для подготовки к NBA

Male's Jordan Mitchell explains his decision to go to prep school Life as he knows it is about to change for Jordan Mitchell. "I'm leaving Saturday and then, hey, my parents, they're sending me off on my own, and I'm just gonna get to work, work out every day, continue to grow and hopefully become a man real quick," Jordan Mitchell said. After a sophomore season that saw Mitchell average 24 points at Male High School, he's headed to Link Academy in Branson, Missouri for his junior season. "I feel like this is the right move because I'm ready for the next challenge, and the next level," Mitchell said. "I feel me going to prep school is gonna help me out with that, you know. So they're gonna get me ready for college, get me ready for my future goal, the NBA." Link plays a national schedule that will include a trip back to Louisville for some games. Their full schedule has not been released yet. This week, Mitchell is getting in a final few workouts with his hometown trainer, Brian Brooks. "He helped my game go from here to here, to be honest, you know, just with the little detail stuff that not everybody knows about with your body," Mitchell said. "He helped me out with that a lot. Helped me get stronger, of course, but he also helped me, like, also has become a young man. You know, he became family to me." "I think every now and then you find someone that just gets it, if that makes sense," Brooks said. "Jordan does. You know, we took him through last year, I think looking back like King of the Bluegrass, which is a massive tournament here. You know, I took Jordan through a pro schedule. Where we were doingactivation stuff before his game. He'd go to shoot around. He'd come back for recovery. I mean, two, three, four workouts a day. Didn't miss a beat, performed at a high level, saw what it was like just to kind of grind through that. And, you know, that's that's the day in the life of college or NBA. So I think for him, sky's the limit." Working out with Brooks has also allowed Mitchell to see the workout routines of professional players like Ray Spalding, Jay Scrubb, Sean East and Grace Berger. Mitchell heads to Missouri with big goals. "In the next two years I want to get my body college ready, and my game," Mitchell said. "Also pick up offers. Hopefully commit to a power five school or I'm open to any option to be honest. Commit. Get my name out there more for exposure. End up probably top 25 in the country. That's my goal."
