Français News provided by Scalia Properties Inc Sep 09, 2026, 07:00 ET Established Canadian retailer selects rare, state-of-the art, carbon-zero industrial property in St-Laurent MONTRÉAL, Sept. 9, 2026 /CNW/ -- Scalia Properties, in partnership with Sina, is pleased to announce that Kamik has signed a long-term lease at 7300 Côte-de-Liesse, the newly developed approximately 141,000-square-foot industrial property in Saint-Laurent, Québec. Founded in Québec in 1898, Kamik brings more than 125 years of manufacturing heritage to 7300 Côte-de-Liesse. The long-term commitment by one of Canada's enduring manufacturers represents an important validation of the vision behind the property: to create a new generation of industrial real estate combining sustainability, architectural quality, strategic location and institutional-grade construction. Located along the strategic Autoroute 520 / Côte-de-Liesse corridor, minutes from Montréal-Trudeau International Airport and with exceptional connectivity to Montréal's major highway network, 7300 Côte-de-Liesse was conceived and developed as a long-term industrial asset rather than a conventional industrial building. A DIFFICULT-TO-REPLICATE INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY 7300 Côte-de-Liesse stands apart within the Montréal industrial landscape. Industrial properties combining this scale, a prime Saint-Laurent location, advanced ESG credentials, architectural distinction and institutional-quality construction are exceptionally difficult to replicate. The property combines approximately 141,000 square feet of modern industrial space with Zero Carbon Building and LEED Silver credentials, an enhanced architectural façade and modern, best-in-class building specifications designed to meet the requirements of sophisticated industrial users. Among its distinguishing characteristics are 47 underground parking spaces -- an exceptionally rare feature for an industrial property -- as well as excellent access to Montréal's major highways, transportation infrastructure, international airport and workforce. Together, these characteristics position 7300 Côte-de-Liesse as a distinctive example of modern industrial development in Saint-Laurent, one of Canada's most established and sought-after industrial markets. A COMPANY BUILT FOR LONGEVITY CHOOSES A PROPERTY BUILT FOR LONGEVITY Kamik's decision to establish a long-term presence at 7300 Côte-de-Liesse brings together two complementary stories of permanence. With roots dating back to 1898, Kamik has built an enduring Canadian manufacturing business over more than 125 years. Its longevity established operations and deep Québec roots make the company's commitment particularly fitting for a property conceived around durability and long-term value. 7300 Côte-de-Liesse was similarly developed with a long-term perspective: combining durable construction, environmental performance, architectural quality and a strategic location to create an industrial property designed to remain relevant for decades. "Kamik's commitment to 7300 Côte-de-Liesse is an important validation of what we set out to create," said Sam Scalia, CEO and Founder of Scalia Properties. "Our objective was never simply to construct another industrial building. We wanted to develop a property that would be difficult to replicate -- one that brings together location, sustainability, architecture and institutional-quality construction in a way that creates lasting value. Having a Canadian manufacturer with more than 125 years of history choose 7300 Côte-de-Liesse for its long-term needs speaks directly to that vision." The long-term agreement also demonstrates the continued appeal of Saint-Laurent as a strategic location for established companies seeking modern, sustainable industrial facilities with exceptional connectivity. A NEW GENERATION OF INDUSTRIAL REAL ESTATE 7300 Côte-de-Liesse reflects the evolution of industrial real estate toward buildings that must perform on multiple levels -- operationally, environmentally, architecturally and over the long term. Its combination of Zero Carbon Building and LEED Silver credentials, institutional-grade specifications, distinctive design and strategic location demonstrate that industrial facilities can deliver both operating functionality and a substantially higher standard of real estate. With Kamik's long-term commitment, 7300 Côte-de-Liesse enters its next chapter with an established Canadian manufacturer whose own history reflects many of the qualities embodied by the property: durability, quality and a long-term perspective.
