Консультант по брендингу Барри Меллингер назвал «Лобби геноцида» коалицию, использующую еврейские имена как щит против антисемитизма

Barry Mellinger is a branding consultant and writer based in London. Call it what it is. The Genocide Lobby: a coalition of ideologies, institutions, and their followers, united by hostility to the Jew who insists on Jewish self-determination. Since October 7th the hostility has become more vicious and more global, amplified by expert deceivers who push the boundaries further each week. What holds the coalition together is the use of Jewish faces to launder that hostility, the alibi it needs against the charge of antisemitism, which is not yet fully politically acceptable. The Lobby exists because there are, unfortunately, millions of people who cannot physically harm us but can do something almost as effective: peddle blood libels, seed hostility, prepare the ground for those who will. They are funded, in part, by state actors with two very different motives. Iran and Qatar act from ideology. Iran, designated the world's foremost state sponsor of terrorism for four decades, arms and finances Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. Qatar, the largest foreign donor to Western universities, quietly builds the infrastructure of academic legitimation and advocacy that shapes what the next generation of Western elites will believe about Jews and Israel. Russia and China act from opportunism. Chaos in the Middle East draws the world's eye away from Ukraine, and every erosion of Western moral standing serves Beijing's long game, so both pour resources into amplifying the noise. Beneath all of this sits a strange coalition of religious fanatics and universalist ideologues, both of whom dream of a babelised world in which no people, above all the Jewish people, retains a distinct covenantal identity. To both, the traditional Jew is a thorn in the eye. Measured against any other minority, their instincts would be recognised in an instant as bigotry: boycotts of a single nation, blood libels revived in modern grammar, collective punishment applied to Jews worldwide for the actions of a Jewish state. What allows them to escalate this animosity past what any society would otherwise tolerate is the Jew card. They insist the hostility is not against Jews but against Zionism, and they hold that distinction up like a shield. But what is a Jew without love of Zion? Zion is not one theme among many in Jewish life. It is the direction of three thousand years of daily prayer, of every wedding, every festival, every act of mourning. A Jew without love of Zion is not a broader-minded Jew. He is a Jew with the centre removed. And what kind of Zionist do they find acceptable? Only the sterile one. The Zionist whose story begins in 1917 with Balfour, or in 1948 with a UN vote, or in some other secular founding moment that can be litigated like any other twentieth-century national project. A Zionism detached from the covenant, apologetic about its own existence, ending where it began, in nothing. But a Jew's Zionism does not begin in 1917. It begins at Sinai. It runs through Abraham's grave in Hebron and David's throne in Jerusalem, through Ezra's return and every siddur ever printed. It is not a nineteenth-century idea; it is the oldest promise a people has ever kept. So when they say they oppose "Zionism, not Jews," what they mean is this: they oppose the Zionism inseparable from Jewishness. They tolerate only the Zionism that has been theologically hollowed out, the one they can eventually argue you out of. What they are really against, and cannot admit aloud, is the Jew who survives: the Jew who is still here after three thousand years because he refused to detach the Land from the God who promised it. The divinely-oriented Jew. The method is not new. It has only become more efficient. Deny. Deny that opposition to the Jewish state is opposition to the Jewish people. Insist on the distinction so loudly that anyone who names it is guilty of conflation. Attack. Attack Jewish sovereignty on every front, moral, legal, historical, economic. Frame the world's only Jewish country as the world's uniquely illegitimate one. Produce. Produce Jewish voices willing to indict Israel more harshly than any of its declared enemies. Elevate them. Platform them. Print their names in every headline. Use. Use them as absolution. "Even Jews agree." That is the Lobby's most repeated sentence in the world today. It works because it exploits a confusion the Jewish people have been reluctant to name publicly. We know everything we say will be used against us. But silence is no longer an option, so we name it. Jewish descent is biology. Jewish identity is covenant. Throughout our improbable survival, the two were inseparable, never apart, because their unity was what made the survival possible. Under modernity they have come apart, and the Genocide Lobby lives in the gap. The Lobby cannot access Jews who love our Father in Heaven, His people, and His land. So it uses Jewish descent. It cannot get Jewish identity, so it uses Jewish names. That is the entire operation. The Lobby is not looking for Jews. It is looking for the word Jew as a shield and an alibi. It requires ancestry without covenant, because covenant makes the person uncooperative. A Jew who loves Torah and the Land cannot be conscripted against them. So the Lobby recruits from the pool it can actually use: those with the name but not the loyalty. They speak as individuals, and they may. What they may not do is speak on behalf of a people they have chosen not to be part of. The world must be made to see what this practice actually is. Using Jewish descent as a weapon is itself antisemitism. It reduces Jews to a race, treating a person as bound to a category no matter what he believes or how he lives. This is textbook antisemitism from our darkest chapters, now redeployed in progressive clothing. None of this concerns anyone's private life. Jewish practice is imperfect in almost every home, mine included. Struggle, doubt, distance from the tradition: none of these disqualifies anyone. As long as a Jew is not standing against the Jewish people, that Jew stands within it. The line runs elsewhere. It is drawn at the point where a person of Jewish descent volunteers as an instrument against Jewish continuity, Jewish sovereignty, or the Jewish covenant itself, and permits the Lobby to hold up his face as proof. The response is not to police anyone's Jewishness but to refuse the confusion the Lobby depends on. We do not concede who represents us. We do not accept ancestry as authorisation. We do not permit the world to appoint our spokesmen for us, least of all when the appointments are engineered by our adversaries. The Genocide Lobby has understood the difference between ancestry and covenant for a long time. It is time we did too. Jewish ancestry can be borrowed. Jewish covenant cannot. The only durable response to the hatred engulfing our nation is to live our covenant in full: to share the glory of our heritage, teach it to our children, carry it in public without apology. Let us be the Jews who survive: the Jews of Sinai and Jerusalem, the Jews of every generation that refused to be argued out of itself, the Jews whose covenant is not a private preference but a public inheritance, the Jews the Lobby cannot conscript because we are not for hire. And let us be, without apology, divinely-oriented. That is the only answer.
