Гаванец Дельфин надевает 105 серебряных цепей ради рекорда Гиннесса

A man from Havana named Delfín has become an internet sensation on the streets of the Cuban capital, thanks to a video shared by Cuban content creator Camila Carballo on Instagram. In the clip, he is introduced as "the man with the most silver in Cuba." Decked out in silver from head to toe, Delfín proudly wears 55 chains around his neck, 40 bracelets on his wrists, and 10 rings on his fingers. Delfín’s aspirations reach beyond being just a local celebrity. "My dream is to set a Guinness World Record, but I'm still 25 chains short, and they are quite heavy," he laughs during an interview. He acknowledges the challenges of managing such an extensive collection. It takes him nearly an hour each morning to put on all the bracelets and untangle the chains. Cleaning them is equally time-consuming. Delfín has a strict rule: he only wears his jewelry during daylight. "I never wear them at night because they shine too much," he jokes. When asked about how he amassed his collection, Delfín remains vague: "I've been given some, and I've saved up." He doesn't disclose the total value, though commenters on the video suggest it's a significant amount of sterling silver. The internet quickly dubbed him "the lightning rod," a playful nod to the potential risk of attracting lightning with so much metal, garnering 197 reactions. Others warned him, "Be careful with the thunder, man." Comparisons also arose with Kendo Kaponi, the Puerto Rican reggaeton artist known for his heavy jewelry. Camila Carballo is a prolific Cuban content creator who documents everyday life in Havana through spontaneous street interviews. One of her previous viral videos featured Cubans fishing with condoms on the Malecón, which surpassed 260,000 views. Delfín joins a roster of viral Havana street characters, such as Papito the candy seller and Pánfilo, who have collectively garnered millions of views on social media. He continues to add to his collection with his sights set on the Guinness Book. Though he still needs 25 more chains to meet his goal, he concedes that the weight is becoming a challenge, especially during the summer months.
