Сэм Кэртер представит творчество Никса Джонса в Норвиче

Folk singer Sam Carter is set to perform at Norwich Arts Centre. The October 1 event is part of his UK tour dedicated to Nic Jones, a revered figure in the English folk revival. The BBC Folk Award winner will perform songs from Jones's recorded works, including Annan Water and Canadee-i-o, showcasing the storytelling and innovative guitar work that defines Jones's music. Carter's connection to Jones's music began in his youth, leading to over 115,000 views on his Canadee-i-o rendition on YouTube, and an invitation to perform alongside Jones at Sidmouth Folk Festival in 2010. The tour follows the release of Sam Carter Sings Nic Jones: Live At Celtic Connections, a new live album created with the blessing of the Jones family. The album was recorded at Celtic Connections in January 2026. Jones's career was tragically cut short by a car accident in 1982, yet his influence on the folk music scene endures.
