Trusted Trader after passing a rigorous assessment designed to recognise reputable and trustworthy businesses. The endorsement comes as the business celebrates 20 years in business in 2026, and is a source of pride for owners Jane and Scott Ormrod. Jane Ormrod, director of Harwood Heating Services Ltd, said: "Becoming a Which? Trusted Trader is something we are incredibly proud of, particularly as we celebrate 20 years in business. "Scott and I have worked hard over the last two decades to build a local business that people can trust. "For us, it has never just been about heating and boilers – it is about looking after our customers, providing a reliable service and building a reputation that we can be proud of. "We have an amazing team around us and many customers who have supported us for years, so achieving the Which? Trusted Trader endorsement feels like recognition of the standards we have all worked so hard to maintain. "As a local family business, reputation means everything to us, and we hope the Which? endorsement gives both our existing and new customers even greater confidence when choosing Harwood Heating." Founded in 2006, the company provides boiler installations, servicing, repairs, and heating services to homes across Bolton and surrounding areas. To become endorsed, Harwood Heating Services underwent a thorough assessment by a Which? Trusted Traders assessor with extensive trading standards experience. The process included a company credit check and gathering of customer references. Raj Kakar-Clayton, managing director of Which? Trusted Traders, said: "We are delighted to announce Harwood Heating Services Ltd as a Which? Trusted Trader. "Our service gives consumers the confidence to make the right choices when it comes to finding skilled professionals and we’re pleased to be able to give traders the chance to distinguish themselves from their peers. "This scheme is a valuable and free resource for consumers." Which? has been testing products and services for over 50 years. The Which? Trusted Traders scheme captures this spirit to give consumers similar reassurance when choosing a trader. It also offers free dispute resolution through the Dispute Resolution Ombudsman in the event of any issues between endorsed traders and customers.
