Владельцы популярного кафе The View на острове Уайт передают бизнес новым собственникам

The owners of a much-loved Isle of Wight cafe are bidding a fond farewell after two and a half years. Louise Hill and Jane Giden are leaving The View in St Helens and handing it over to the owners of Godshill Cider Barn. The pair took over the cafe, at Fakenham Farm on Eddington Road, in May 2024. They gave it an extensive renovation and turned it into a popular cafe once again. Louise and Jane said: "It is not a decision we have made lightly. "We are so proud of what we have built at The View and are so thankful for our wonderful, loyal customers and staff who have helped us build this venture over the last two and a half years." Prior to The View, Louise worked as the Island's Local Democracy Reporter, based at the County Press. Meanwhile, Jane ran the Shoreside Cafe on East Cowes Esplanade. The pair said it is not the end for The View and it is moving onto "bigger and better things". They confirmed that Russell and Jodie Dyke, who run Godshill Cider Barn, will take over the cafe. Louise and Jane said: "Keep your eyes peeled for what is to come! It promises to be exciting!" Russell and Jodie are expected to take over after a handover period.
