Couples are being invited to share their engagement stories for a chance to win wedding jewellery worth up to £1000. Beaverbrooks, the family-owned jeweller based at Glasgow Fort Shopping Park, has launched the competition as part of a UK-wide search for the nation’s favourite proposal moments. The campaign coincides with the unveiling of the jeweller’s Proposal Map of the UK, a list of the top 15 most romantic places to propose, compiled using Instagram hashtag data. This list saw the Lake District come out on top as the UK’s most popular proposal spot, followed by the London Eye in second place and Tower Bridge in third. The Isle of Skye came in fifth and topped the list for Scottish locations, with Edinburgh Castle, Glen Coe and Arthur's Seat also featured. Other top proposal destinations included the Peak District, Stonehenge, Giant's Causeway, St Michael's Mount and the Brecon Beacons.
