В Северной Уэльсе запустили подкаст о приоритетах полиции и безопасности сообщества

A new podcast is shining a spotlight on policing in North Wales. Launched by North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner Andy Dunbobbin, North Wales Matters with Andy Dunbobbin aims to connect the public with policing priorities and community safety through monthly episodes. The podcast supports the aims set out in Mr Dunbobbin’s Police and Crime Plan, which was developed through consultation with residents, organisations and partner agencies. Mr Dunbobbin said: "We have launched this podcast because I want to bring policing closer to the people of North Wales. "Residents deserve transparency, and they deserve to hear the stories of the community heroes who support victims, strengthen community ties, and help make North Wales one of the safest places to live. "Through this podcast, I hope to give people a better understanding of policing and community safety issues, while highlighting the positive work being carried out across our region." The Police and Crime Plan sets out strategic priorities for policing and community safety up to 2028, and forms the basis for the podcast’s content. Mr Dunbobbin wants to strengthen a local neighbourhood policing presence, supporting victims, communities and businesses, and promoting a fair and effective criminal justice system. The first episode introduces listeners to Mr Dunbobbin, including his early life, entry into public service, and election as North Wales PCC in 2021. It also reflects on his re-election in 2024 and his continuing role as the public's voice in policing across North Wales. The podcast is available to watch on YouTube and through the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner’s social media channels. Listeners can also receive updates and new episodes by subscribing to the Commissioner’s newsletter.
