Легендарный музыкальный шоу That'll Be the Day вернется в Бournemouth на сцене Pavilion в сентябре

The UK’s longest‑running rock and pop variety show is set to return to the Bournemouth stage next month. That’ll Be the Day will appear at Bournemouth Pavilion on September 4 and September 5, following a spectacular 40th anniversary production that took place earlier this year. The show, which has travelled more than 1.5 million miles during its run, also returns to the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) on December 20 for its That’ll Be Christmas performance. Trevor Payne, founder, director, producer and cast member, said: "The crew on NASA’s Artemis II travelled 252,000 miles, the furthest any human has been from Earth. "Over 40 years, we’ve clocked up around 1.5 million miles. "That’s to the moon and back three times, and we’re now on our fourth visit. "It’s taken us a bit longer than the astronauts." Mr Payne recently turned 80 and had considered retiring after the anniversary tour, but was persuaded otherwise by his daughter Lauren. He said: "I didn’t want to go beyond my sell‑by date. "But Lauren told me, ‘You can’t give up the show, it’s your baby.’ "She moved closer, meaning I can see the grandchildren more, and even take them to school. "That’s changed everything." Bournemouth Pavilion, managed by charity BH Live, holds special significance for the show, having hosted it for 24 consecutive summer seasons since 1997.
