В Херефорде пройдет 10-й фестиваль независимой еды и музыки

This summer, Hereford Indie Food returns for its 10-year edition, bringing together independent food, live music, chefs, makers and family entertainment for one huge weekend in the heart of Hereford. What started in 2016 as a celebration of Hereford’s independent food scene has grown into one of the city’s most loved summer events. Ten years later, we’re going back to what Hereford Indie Food has always been about: great food, brilliant people and bringing the city together. Eat Food is at the heart of the weekend. Expect an incredible line-up of independent traders alongside some of the region’s best chefs, producers and restaurants. Throughout the daytime, look out for our £5 taster dishes, designed to let you eat your way around the festival and try as much as possible. Come hungry. Live fire. Real chefs. Great food. Our Birchwood Charcoal Fire Stagebrings cooking back to its most elemental form. Across the weekend, chefs and producers will cook live over fire, sharing techniques, stories and some seriously good food. The line-up includes chefs and food personalities from across the region, including Andy Stubbs of Andy Low & Slow, Sammy Smith of Wild By Nature, Anthony ‘Murf’ Murphy of The Beefy Boys, Pete Doveston of Maneki Ramen and Mike Fullard of ART Hospitality & Burger Shop. Expect everything from breakfast cooked over fire to butchery, hogget, steaks and live-fire cooking. Two days of live music As the sun goes down, HIF turns up the volume. Across the Western’s Stage and Jam Factory Stage, there’ll be live bands, DJs, brass, 90s nostalgia and entertainment throughout the weekend. Saturday’s programme includes Kevin & Perry Go Large, Ibiza Brass, Max Galactic, Jake of Diamonds Does 90s, Brass Funkeys, 90s Dub Cluband more. And that’s only part of the line-up. Made in Hereford HIF has always been about celebrating independents. Alongside the food and music, discover our Makers Zone, showcasing brilliant independent artists, craftspeople, designers and producers. Come and meet the people making interesting things right here in our region. Bring the kids HIF is a festival for the whole family. From 10.30 - 12pm for larger kids activities on the main stage and across the weekend there’ll be children’s entertainment, workshops and activities including Frozen shows and meet & greets, Creative Juice, Lego printing, basket weaving, face painting, Hungry Caterpillar carnival art and more. On Sunday, join Sohan Kailey for Bhangra Active Dance, bringing an explosion of music, movement and energy to the festival. Under-12s go free. Hereford, this one’s for you. Ten years ago we created Hereford Indie Food because we believed our city deserved a festival celebrating the independent people who make it special. A decade later, that hasn’t changed. So bring the kids. Bring your mates. Come hungry. Discover something new. Stay for a drink. Dance into the evening. And help us celebrate 10 years of Hereford Indie Food.
