Трёхлетний мальчик из Великобритании знает флаги всех стран мира и названия штатов США

A three-year-old boy from Kesgrave has astonished his family with his ability to recognise the flags of every country in the world — and name all 50 American states. Reggie Ellis, who is just three-and-a-half, developed a fascination with flags after first becoming interested in space. By the age of two, he had learned the order of the planets and could even name dwarf planets, before a video led him to discover the world’s flags. His proud father, Ben Ellis, said Reggie’s interest quickly became an all-consuming passion. “He knows every single country in the world,” he said. “He’s also learned the 50 states of America as well. When he tells me what they are, I have to check. He knows them all”. The family home is now filled with flags, while Reggie has a box full of them to play with. Ben and Reggie’s mum, Kelly, have even installed a flagpole in the garden, with a different country’s flag flown each day. “From the moment he wakes up to the moment he goes to bed, he’s either talking about flags or doing something with flags,” Ben said. “He almost treats them like little characters. He’ll say, ‘Here comes Sweden,’ or ‘Look, Colombia’s over there.’” Reggie can recite all 216 flags at speed and has also mastered the names of the 50 US states. Despite his remarkable knowledge, his dad said he is still small for his age and can easily be mistaken for a two-year-old — making his abilities all the more surprising to those who meet him. Reggie, who attends nursery and is due to increase his hours in September, also enjoys football. His parents are hoping his enthusiasm for flags might eventually extend to club badges. For now, though, the young geography expert remains firmly focused on the world’s nations — one flag at a time.
