В Барроу прошел турнир по каноэ-поло в рамках Фестиваля моря

Canoe polo players from across Cumbria and Lancashire gathered for a day of friendly competition and coaching. The event took place in Barrow as part of the town's Festival of the Sea. Participants from Penrith Canoe Club, Duddon Canoe Club, Lakeland Canoe Club, and Red Rose Canoe Club joined in. The tournament, held on Saturday, August 8, aimed to provide plenty of time on the water for all participants, with mixed teams engaging in a series of friendly games. The focus was less on competition and more on skill development, with informal coaching and training sessions. Experienced players offered guidance, helping newer participants hone their skills, fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie and shared learning. It also gave members of the public the chance to watch the sport and find out more about canoe polo. Organisers expressed gratitude to all who contributed, including Duddon Canoe Club for hosting and supporting the event.
