В Новом Орлеане стартует чемпионат мира по футзалу с призовым фондом 175 тысяч долларов

NEW ORLEANS – The best of the best in the foosball world are set to descend on the city this Labor Day weekend as the 2026 WFT World Championships of Foosball takes over the Hyatt Regency New Orleans. While New Orleans might seem like an interesting pick for the sport, New Orleans & Company shared that Louisiana has the largest competitive foosball player base in the U.S. and is home to many of the sport’s most accomplished athletes, including defending world champion and current #1-ranked women’s player Sullivan Rue and #2-ranked men’s player Brandon Muñoz, offering rich local storylines and hometown pride. It is expected that over 800 competitors from over 30 countries will be in attendance for the four-day event, which will feature 100 Tornado tables in play. The 2026 WFT World Championships of Foosball brings the biggest stage, the biggest payout, the biggest matches and the full player experience together in New Orleans. This milestone event features the largest guaranteed prize pool in World Foosball Tour history at $175,000, expanded international participation, and the most ambitious World Championship production the Tour has ever presented. In addition to the competition, the space will feature a Table 100 Pit Area, which is a community hub with Level Up Lessons, pop-up events, player experiences and interactive activities highlighting mentorship, player development, and foosball’s community-driven culture.
