Дик и Жаннетт Штал стали почетными маршалами Potter Days 2026

The Grand Marshals for Potter Days 2026 are Dick and Jeanette Stahl, two lifelong members of the Potter community whose roots run deep and whose years of service have touched many aspects of life in and around Potter. Dick was born in Kimball, Nebraska, on February 20, 1948, and graduated from Potter High School in 1966. Jeanette was born in Sidney, Nebraska, on June 13, 1950, and graduated from Potter High School in 1968. Both attended Kearney State College. Dick graduated in 1971 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education and an endorsement in coaching. Jeanette followed in 1972, earning her bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Their story together, however, began before college. Jeanette had her eye on Dick during his junior and senior years at Potter High School. Dick, meanwhile, had his eyes focused more on athletics than girls. Eventually, the love bug prevailed, and the two were married on June 20, 1971, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church northeast of Potter. The newlyweds made their home in Kearney, where Jeanette completed her degree before teaching fifth grade in Elm Creek. Dick worked for DeKalb Corn Seed Company in Kearney.
