Asus Zenbook Duo (2026): Две 14-дюймовые OLED-экраны и мощный процессор Intel Core Ultra 7

Asus Zenbook Duo (2026) Review: Two Screens, Endless Possibilities When you review tech for a living, it takes a lot for a laptop to genuinely get you excited. I’ve seen enough thin-and-light machines, gaming monsters and experimental form factors over the years that very little feels truly new anymore. And yet, the Asus Zenbook Duo still manages to tickle that particular itch. Now in its second generation, the Zenbook Duo remains one of those rare laptops that makes me want to play around with it, figure out different ways of using it, and see just how far I can push its two-screen setup. And Asus has made some meaningful upgrades this year. You get two 14-inch 3K OLED touchscreens, Intel’s Core Ultra 7 355, 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, a 1TB SSD and a massive 99Wh battery. Our configuration can be picked up for ₹2,78,990, so this is certainly not an inexpensive experiment. But is it actually worth the money? Table of Contents Asus Zenbook Duo (2026) Design: Two screens, so many possibilities The Zenbook Duo may look like a slightly chunky 14-inch laptop when closed, but pull away the keyboard and the entire character of the machine changes. Underneath sits another full-sized display, and Asus gives you an impressive number of ways to use it. The detachable keyboard attaches magnetically using pogo pins, which also charge it. Remove it and the second screen automatically comes alive, while the keyboard switches over to Bluetooth. You can then use the Duo with the displays stacked vertically, turn the whole machine sideways for a book-style layout, or simply leave the second screen flat. The redesigned hideaway hinge also reduces the gap between the displays by around 70 per cent and lets the Duo open completely flat to 180 degrees. Personally, I spent a lot of time with the displays stacked vertically. The substantial built-in kickstand keeps everything surprisingly stable, and having two screens wherever I went quickly became addictive. Build quality is excellent too. The Ceraluminum chassis feels sturdy and premium, while the Moher Gray finish looks understated. Asus also gives the Duo MIL-STD 810H certification. At 1.65kg, this isn't an especially light 14-inch laptop, but considering what you're carrying, I found it manageable. Port selection is generous as well. You get two Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, HDMI 2.1 FRL and a 3.5mm audio jack. There's also Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. For such an unconventional design, the Duo feels remarkably polished. Asus Zenbook Duo (2026) Display & Speakers: A feast for the senses The dual displays were one of the biggest strengths of the original Zenbook Duo, and that remains true with the second generation. Except this time, Asus has made an already impressive setup even better. You get two identical 14-inch ASUS Lumina Pro OLED touchscreens, each with a 3K resolution of 2880 x 1800, a 16:10 aspect ratio and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. And these are genuinely gorgeous panels. Colours are rich and vibrant, blacks are beautifully deep, and everything from text to high-resolution images looks incredibly sharp. More importantly, I couldn’t notice any meaningful difference in quality between the upper and lower displays. For professional and colour-sensitive work, you get 100 per cent DCI-P3 coverage and Pantone-validated colours. VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification also means HDR content looks fantastic, with Asus claiming 500 nits during regular use and up to 1,000 nits of peak HDR brightness. The anti-reflective coating helps reduce glare, although visibility can still be challenging under harsh outdoor lighting. Asus has also picked up TÜV Rheinland and SGS Eye Care certifications, which should matter when you consider how much time you’ll potentially spend staring at two screens. The 144Hz refresh rate makes animations, scrolling and dragging windows between displays feel wonderfully fluid. Both panels also support touch and stylus input. The speakers are surprisingly impressive too. Asus has fitted the Duo with a six-speaker Harman Kardon-tuned setup, comprising four woofers and two tweeters, with Dolby Atmos support. They get properly loud without sounding muffled at higher volumes, while vocals remain crisp and clear. There’s some bass presence too, although the tuning is noticeably more vocal-forward than bass-heavy. For hardcore taskmasters and multitaskers on the go, the displays remains the Duo’s killer feature: two professional-grade displays you can carry everywhere without lugging around an external monitor. Asus Zenbook Duo (2026) Keyboard, Trackpad & Webcam: Some clever solutions The detachable keyboard is central to how the Zenbook Duo works. It attaches magnetically using pogo pins, which also keep it charged, and switches over to Bluetooth when you pull it away to use the second display. The connection was quick and reliable during my time with it. As a keyboard, it’s pretty good too. You get 1.7mm of key travel, with well-spaced keys that make typing comfortable, although the feedback can feel slightly mushy. The large precision touchpad is responsive and also supports edge gestures for brightness, volume and media controls. They sound gimmicky, but I found myself using them surprisingly often. Up top is an FHD webcam that works perfectly well for video calls. It also has an IR sensor for Windows Hello, making logins quick and seamless. Microsoft Pluton and firmware TPM provide additional hardware-level security. Asus Zenbook Duo (2026) Performance & Software: A powerhouse Our Zenbook Duo is powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 7 355, with 8 cores and 8 threads, paired with 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. There’s also a dedicated NPU capable of up to 50 TOPS, while graphics are handled by Intel’s integrated GPU. For the sort of work this machine is designed for, performance is excellent. I regularly had both displays loaded with browser tabs, documents, Slack and other apps, and the Duo remained responsive throughout. More importantly, running two screens never felt like it was weighing the machine down. Creative workloads are where I really enjoyed using it. Editing photos in Photoshop is an absolute joy because of just how good and colour-accurate those OLED displays are. Premiere Pro is even more interesting. Having the timeline across one display while keeping the preview, effects or other panels on the second gives you a genuinely useful portable editing setup. The internals are more than capable too. I could scrub through 4K 60fps footage with plenty of effects and elements on the timeline without running into any major issues. Thermals are handled well too. During everyday work, the Duo rarely became noticeably warm, while heavier workloads never made it uncomfortable to use. Gaming is where you need to temper expectations. Lighter games are fine, but without discrete graphics, heavy AAA gaming isn’t really on the menu. An NVIDIA GeForce NOW subscription and a fast internet connection provide a rather neat workaround, especially with those 3K 144Hz OLED displays. On the software side, Windows 11 Home is joined by Copilot+ features including Recall, Live Captions and Windows Studio Effects. ScreenXpert is particularly important for managing apps across both displays, while MyASUS handles updates, diagnostics, performance modes and display settings. My biggest complaint is the clutter. McAfee LiveSafe, Adobe offers and other bundled apps feel unnecessary on a laptop costing nearly ₹2.8 lakh. Asus Zenbook Duo (2026) Battery: Surprisingly good endurance With two 3K OLED displays running at up to 144Hz, I expected battery life to be one of the Zenbook Duo’s biggest compromises. Surprisingly, it isn’t. Asus has packed in a massive 99Wh battery, a substantial upgrade over the 75Wh unit in the previous generation. And that extra capacity makes a difference. With medium to heavy usage, including plenty of time with both displays active, I was consistently getting around 7 to 8 hours before reaching for the charger. That meant I could comfortably use the Duo as my primary work machine without constantly hunting for a power socket, which is particularly important for something designed around mobile productivity. Charging is handled by the bundled 100W USB-C adapter. In my testing, a complete charge took roughly 90 to 95 minutes. Considering the hardware it is powering, particularly those two high-resolution OLED panels, the endurance Asus has managed here is genuinely impressive. Asus Zenbook Duo (2026) Verdict: Expensive, but it makes a strong case for itself At ₹2,78,990 for our configuration, there is no getting around the fact that the Zenbook Duo is an expensive laptop. But laptop prices have gone completely haywire lately, and within that context, the Duo’s asking price doesn’t feel quite as outrageous as it initially sounds. After all, you’re getting two genuinely excellent 14-inch 3K 144Hz OLED displays, strong performance, 32GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, excellent build quality and a 99Wh battery. More importantly, those two screens aren’t a gimmick. I found myself actively changing how I worked around them, whether that meant stacking windows while researching and writing or spreading Premiere Pro across both displays. There are compromises. At 1.65kg, it isn’t particularly light, there’s no discrete GPU, and a laptop this expensive really shouldn’t arrive with so much unnecessary software. But none of those things dilute what makes the Zenbook Duo special. Very few laptops still manage to make me excited about the form factor itself. The second-generation Zenbook Duo does. It’s expensive, unusual and certainly not for everyone, but for serious mobile multitaskers, it makes a surprisingly convincing case for itself.
