Эксперт Sky Sports Формулы-1 Рэйчел Брукс начала новую карьеру в качестве спикера

Rachel Brookes's departure from Sky Sports F1 was never likely to mean a long pause. Days after her exit was announced, the 51-year-old has already moved into a new role, joining Motorsport to Business's Motorsport Speakers roster and framing her next step as one of those “exciting new ventures” that follows a long run in the paddock. That is the key takeaway from this move. Brookes had been part of Sky Sports Formula 1 coverage for years, and her latest position suggests that her experience will now be channelled into speaking engagements at conferences and corporate events rather than live broadcast work. In other words, the story is not about a broadcaster disappearing from view, but about a familiar Formula 1 voice taking on a different kind of platform. From Sky to a new stage Brookes's route to this point stretches back well before the current Formula 1 landscape. She had been a reporter with Sky in 2009, then joined the F1 team ahead of the 2012 season after Sky secured the rights from the. That timeline matters because it shows just how long she has been embedded in the sport's modern broadcast era. Near the end of June, Brookes announced that she was leaving Sky Sports, with the news coming days before the Austrian Grand Prix weekend. The announcement marked the end of a lengthy stretch on the Sky Sports Formula 1 team, but it also made clear that this was not being treated as a retirement or a break from the sport. Why this move matters Motorsport to Business said it was delighted to be working with the former Sky Sports F1 broadcaster and author as she joined its Motorsport Speakers roster. That wording points to the direction of travel: Brookes is being positioned for public speaking, where her years covering Formula 1 should carry obvious value for audiences looking for insight into the sport, its people and its pressures. For Brookes, the speed of the move is notable. She was not out of the Sky Sports door for long before a new opportunity emerged, which underlines that her profile in Formula 1 remains strong. For Motorsport to Business, the appeal is equally clear: a broadcaster with years of top-level paddock experience, a long Sky background and an established presence in Formula 1 coverage is exactly the kind of voice that can anchor a speakers roster. The broader context is simple enough. Formula 1 media roles can change quickly, but established names rarely stay untethered for long. Brookes's next step shows that her exit from Sky Sports was the end of one chapter, not the end of the story.
