Прибыль клуба Vicar Street в Дублине выросла на 60% до €901 тыс. благодаря успеху концертов и росту доходов от Diageo

Profits at the Harry Crosbie firm which operates Dublin entertainment venue, Vicar Street last year increased by 60% to €901,908 following a boost in Diageo income and venue till sales. New accounts filed by Liberty Venues Ltd show that profits surged after revenues increased by 13% from €4.08m to €4.62m last year after a string of sell out shows by Christy Moore and Tommy Tiernan boosted ticket sales. The new accounts show that revenues from venue till sales increased by 8% from €2.62m to €2.83m while income from Aiken Promotions rose by 12% from €1.24m to €1.39m. Revenues were further boosted by income from Diageo which last year doubled from €193,033 to €383,410 while other income decreased from €20,356 to €10,985. The post tax profits of €901,908 follow post tax profits of €562,661 in 2024. Upcoming artists at the venue include The Bishop Exchange podcast featuring comedians, Des Bishop and John Bishop, Chasing Abbey, Emma Doran and Russell Howard. The Dublin venue is owned by Mr Crosbie and operated by one of the country's most successful promoters, Peter Aiken of Aiken Promotions. Vicar Street, which has a seated capacity of 1,050 and standing capacity of 1,500, opened in 1998 and the venue was extended in 2002. The accounts - signed off by Harry Crosbie and Rita Crosbie last month - show that the firm's post profit last year reduced the firm’s accumulated losses from €1.2m to €303,363. Cash funds at the business increased sharply from €889,403 to €1.4m. Numbers employed by the venue firm last year increased from 41 to 44 as staff costs rose from €489,103 to €580,498. At the end of last year, Liberty Venues Ltd owed €276,304 to Mr Crosbie which was down from the €575,664 owed at the start of 2025. In December 2024, Harry Crosbie secured planning permission for a planned Vicar Street hotel scheme close to the Vicar Street venue. At the time, Mr Crosbie said that the planned eight storey four-star 182-bedroom Vicar Street 'Rock and Room’ concept hotel "will be a huge addition to the area". Speaking about Vicar Street at the time, Mr Crosbie said: "The venue punches above its weight and is much loved in the industry and people will love the ‘rock and room’ offer at the hotel." Mr Crosbie declined to comment on the new accounts today. Reporting by Gordon Deegan
