Railbreak returns in style with the release of Railbreak DX PS 5 (with PlayStation 5 Pro enhancements), Xbox Series X|S & XBOX Play Anywhere, and Steam!  The game is now available at an MSRP of $24.99 USD. With new content, a major graphical upgrade, and updated game balance, the bullets will fly with up to two players in local co-op multiplayer in Railbreak DX! During a zombie apocalypse that’s thrown the city of Cypress Ridge into panic and chaos, Survivors Lydia Daniels and Hank battle their way into the Cypress Ridge Arcade.  Tired after a long day of fighting for their lives, the two check out the newest game arrival: Railbreak DX.  What follows is a high-octane, B-movie romp through the digital version of Cypress Ridge in a six-act, fully voiced story.  Aggressive firepower will lay hordes of ferocious zombies to waste; pick up shotguns, machine guns, grenades, and more to blast foes to bits.  With six difficulties, including an Assisted mode for less proficient players, anyone can enjoy the light-hearted, over-the-top narrative. As players get deeper into the pandemonium rocking Cypress Ridge, they’ll encounter all sorts of fascinating features.  Engage in a showdown with special infected enemies, each with their own zany dialog and outrageous powers.  Adapt quickly to various ‘Glitch’ effects that can either help you, like being awarded infinite ammo for a limited time, or hinder you, like a sudden flood of civilians to avoid in your firefight against the undead scourge.  Discover elemental armaments that trigger electric explosions, stop (the) dead shivers, frenzied fire-spread, and more.  The carnival of carnage that Railbreak DX has to offer doesn’t begin and end with Story Mode; there are oodles of additional modes and options to explore.  The semi-procedurally generated Glitch Gauntlet tests your mettle as enemy, item, and ‘Glitch’ effects are randomized to deliver a distinct experience every single playthrough.  Choose between 18 unique characters, each with unique loadouts and traits, in the dedicated, per level Score Attack mode.  Endure for as long as you can in an overrun hospital in Onslaught mode.  Additional campy content awaits players old and new with full two-player local co-op support across the entire game!  If you’re a returning Survivor from the original release of Railbreak, you can look forward to all sorts of new highlights and changes in Railbreak DX, including: Nine new playable characters:   A whole new roster of Survivors joins the crew from the original game for a total of 18 playable characters in all side modes.  Every character has their own weapons and quirks, making for riotous replay value. Mix it up with dinosaurs:   Take out a bevy of primal pests by enabling dinosaur enemies.  Setting the game to only use dinos or adding them to the existing zombie menace can switch up your adventure in unexpected ways. Hone your skills with Training Mode:   Struggling to clear Story Mode?  Want to practice the Boss Rush challenge?  Flick on Training Mode to become invincible; your scores won’t save, but you’ll be able to improve your marksmanship without the fear of death. Major graphical upgrades with Unreal Engine 5.7:   The wacky war zone of Cypress Ridge has never looked better.  Improved lighting, new weapon animations, dazzling effects, and so much more amplify the despair in America’s unluckiest city. Beautifully destructible environments:   Shoot at barrels, vases, and other breakable objects to find hidden items and increase your score.  Keep an eye out for ever-helpful explosive canisters to clear a packed screen of putrid pursuers. Extensive game rebalancing:   Every little corner of the on-rails action has been touched up and tweaked.  Munitions have been adjusted, characters have been altered, adversaries’ intelligence and pathfinding have been refined, bugs have been squashed, and then some. Console specific bonuses:   Take advantage of XBOX Play Anywhere to play Railbreak DX on console, cloud, PC, and handheld with cross-save and cross-progression via a single purchase.  Gawk at magnificent lighting effects courtesy of advanced raytracing, and enter the fray with a silky smooth frame rate when playing on PlayStation 5 Pro.
