BookMyShow Live развернет оборудование Stageco для масштабных концертов в Индии

The company did not disclose the financial value of the investment. The move marks BookMyShow Live’s second major production-infrastructure investment after its acquisition of Star Live’s VerTech stage system in 2024. The Stageco equipment will be deployed across its events, with a wider rollout across Indian cities planned in the coming months. The setup includes a Classic 4 Tower Roof system incorporating elements of Stageco’s Super Roof header, four field delay towers and four front-of-house systems. The steel pitch-roof structure can support up to 28 tonnes of uniformly distributed load across its central grid, with trim heights of around 15 metres, according to BookMyShow Live. The additional capacity is designed for productions requiring large flown LED screens, lighting rigs and audio systems, and can be configured for different concert and festival formats. The infrastructure has already been deployed in India. At Travis Scott’s CIRCUS MAXIMUS concert in Mumbai, BookMyShow Live said the Stageco system supported a 45-metre-by-14-metre flown LED screen, which it described as the largest flown LED backdrop on a temporary structure in the country. Stageco components have also been used at Lollapalooza India 2026, Def Leppard’s Shillong show and Linkin Park’s Bengaluru concert, the company said. The investment comes as India’s live-events market expands, with international artists increasingly adding the country to their touring schedules. The growth has also highlighted gaps in venues and production infrastructure, particularly outside major cities. Wouter Van Mierloo, CEO of Stageco, said the partnership comes as India’s live entertainment industry gains momentum and global touring productions expand into newer markets. “As global touring productions continue to expand into newer markets, the need for internationally benchmarked infrastructure becomes increasingly important. Through this collaboration, we look forward to bringing Stageco’s global expertise and staging capabilities to India, supporting the delivery of larger, more ambitious and technically advanced live experiences for artists and audiences alike,” Van Mierloo added. For BookMyShow Live, the strategy marks a shift towards owning production assets that can be reused across multiple events rather than relying entirely on event-specific infrastructure. “India’s live entertainment industry has reached an exciting inflection point. Audience demand has grown tremendously, global artists increasingly view India as an essential touring destination and productions continue to evolve in scale and ambition,” said Naman Pugalia, chief business officer – live events, BookMyShow. “For the industry to sustain this momentum, the supporting ecosystem must evolve alongside it. Our investment in Stageco equipment reflects our long-term commitment to building the infrastructure that India’s live entertainment future needs,” he added. Stageco, founded in Belgium in 1985, has supplied staging systems for major international tours and festivals, including productions involving Coldplay, Metallica, The Rolling Stones, U2 and Rammstein. BookMyShow Live has expanded beyond ticketing into concert promotion and production, bringing international artists including Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Travis Scott and Post Malone to India and operating festivals such as Lollapalooza India. The infrastructure push follows its earlier investment in Star Live’s VerTech stage system, an all-steel staging structure brought to India in 2024. The development also comes shortly after global investment firm KKR agreed to acquire a minority stake in BookMyShow. Financial terms were not disclosed. Sources have said KKR invested about $40 million (Rs 380 crore) in primary capital at a valuation of around $620 million (Rs 6,000 crore).
