9-летний мальчик из Вашингтона стал интернет-звездой благодаря коллекции унитазов

A 9-year-old boy from Washington has become an unlikely social media sensation thanks to a childhood hobby that is anything but ordinary. Known online as “The Toilet Kid”, Damian has developed a fascination with toilets, toilet seats and household appliances, turning his interest into a hands-on backyard project. Rather than simply collecting unusual objects, Damian tests toilets to see how well they flush and has built a dedicated toilet test bench where he can put different models through their paces. Photos and videos of the young enthusiast show him posing alongside toilets and demonstrating his unusual setup, attracting attention from people fascinated by his passion. Damian is now planning to upgrade the testing bench so it can accommodate more of his growing toilet collection, giving his quirky hobby an even bigger stage. How 9-year-old Damian became 'The Toilet Kid' Damian's unusual interest in toilets has earned him the nickname “The Toilet Kid” online, where his videos and photographs have attracted a growing audience. His hobby centres on examining toilets and toilet seats and testing how they perform, particularly when it comes to flushing. What might appear to most people to be an ordinary household fixture has become an object of genuine curiosity for the young Washington boy. His enthusiasm also extends to other household appliances, giving his content a broader theme of exploring how everyday objects work. The appeal of Damian's videos comes partly from his obvious enthusiasm. Instead of treating toilets as something mundane, he approaches them with the curiosity normally associated with a child fascinated by cars, trains or machines. His backyard has become a toilet testing station One of the most unusual parts of Damian's hobby is the test bench he has set up in his backyard. The setup allows him to place toilets in position and conduct flushing experiments, giving him a dedicated space for examining different models. Images shared online show toilets positioned outdoors on a wooden structure, including a white toilet and another brown-coloured model connected to plumbing equipment. The setup has effectively transformed part of the backyard into a small testing area centred on toilets. For Damian, the bench provides more than a place to display his collection. It gives him somewhere to compare different toilets and observe how they perform when flushed, turning his fascination into a practical experiment. Damian is building a growing collection The toilet testing bench is also connected to Damian's growing collection. As he acquires more toilet-related items, he needs additional space to display and test them. He reportedly plans to upgrade the existing bench so that it can hold more toilets, allowing him to continue expanding the collection while keeping the testing area organised. His interest in toilet seats is particularly notable because these are usually overlooked as everyday household components. Damian instead treats them as objects worth collecting and examining. The collection and testing setup have therefore developed together, with the bench providing a practical way for him to explore the objects that interest him most. His hobby goes beyond simply collecting toilets Damian's fascination is not limited to putting toilets on display. His interest in flushing gives the hobby an experimental element, as he can observe differences between models and see how effectively they perform. The approach reflects a broader curiosity about household technology and appliances. Children often develop intense interests in particular subjects, but Damian's hobby stands out because it involves full-sized household fixtures and a dedicated testing area. His willingness to share that interest publicly has also helped turn a private childhood pastime into something that thousands of people can discover online. The unusual combination of collecting, experimenting and documenting his activities has become the central appeal of “The Toilet Kid”. 'The Toilet Kid' has gone viral Damian's story has attracted attention as it combines an ordinary household object with an extraordinarily specific childhood passion. Toilets are something almost everyone uses but rarely considers in detail, making a young boy who collects them and tests their flushing performance an inherently unexpected subject for viral content. His backyard setup adds another layer to the story because it turns the hobby into something physical and visual that can easily be captured in photographs and videos. The enthusiasm with which Damian approaches his collection also gives the story a wholesome quality. Rather than being presented simply as a joke, his interest shows how a child's curiosity can develop into a surprisingly detailed hobby. A bigger test bench could be next Damian's plans suggest that “The Toilet Kid” is not finished building his unusual collection. He wants to upgrade his backyard test bench so it can accommodate more toilets, giving him additional room to continue his flushing experiments. A larger setup could allow him to display more of his collection while creating a more organised space for testing different models. For now, his backyard remains a modest but unusual testing station built around an interest that has captured the attention of people far beyond Washington. What began as a fascination with toilets has developed into a distinctive childhood hobby, complete with collecting, testing and documenting. As Damian continues expanding his setup, his followers will likely be watching to see what toilet joins the collection next.
