The acquisition will strengthen EFC’s furniture manufacturing and design & build businesses. NEW DELHI: EFC (I) has entered into a share acquisition agreement to acquire 100% stake in Ultrafresh Modular Solutions, subject to fulfilment of conditions precedent under the agreement. EFC is a real-estate-as-a-service company operating across managed office spaces, design & build turnkey solutions and furniture manufacturing. The acquisition is aimed at strengthening its furniture manufacturing and design & build businesses, while expanding its modular furniture solutions capabilities in North India. Ultrafresh Modular Solutions is a 51% subsidiary of TTK Prestige. It operates in the modular solutions segment and offers modular kitchens, wardrobes and customised modular furniture solutions. It owns an operational manufacturing facility at Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh, and has a dedicated design and execution team. The acquisition will combine EFC’s manufacturing, supply-chain and design & build capabilities with Ultrafresh’s design team and manufacturing facility. Umesh Sahay, chairman & managing director, EFC (I), said the acquisition is an important step in expanding the company’s real-estate-as-a-service platform. “It strengthens our established furniture manufacturing and design & build businesses while adding a strong modular solutions platform to our portfolio,” he said.
